I ordered an 81/2W instead of an 8 which I normally wear but figured I'd wear heavier socks (recommend Darn Tough socks) than wearing tights. They were a little big but threw in a pair of Dr Scholl inner soles and perfect fit, added insulation (though non needed) and off I went. Water/snow proof; look good even though I don't usually like suede and comfy to wear all day. I know I sound like an ad but this is my personal recommendation. Love Blondo boots!!
They fit great with boot socks or insoles. My usual size is 7.5-8 and 7.5 has extra room/ heel slippage with a normal sock. I order some wool boot socks for a closer fit. I’m not sure that the brown leather pair resemble leather at all, but they’re comfortable and can get wet! I wouldn’t wear my Frye or Pikolinos in the rain—but I can wear these. I wear dress casual: nice trousers and button downs/ sweaters and they don’t look overly rugged. They’re not formal in appearance due to the extraneous zipper, but I don’t care. My thin ankle and average foot( not narrow or wide) fits beautifully. I want the mushroom and cognac next. It’s rare to find a waterproof boot that isn’t absolutely hideous. It’s classic.
I have a narrow foot so I was able to wear these boots. They do seem to run a bit short, as well as narrow. I'm keeping them as I will just wear a thin pedi sock in them. They are well made and look amazing with jeans.
I am a big fan of Blondo boots. Stylish, comfortable right out of the box, and waterproof!! As other reviewers said, this boot runs small. I normally wear a 7 regular width. I ordered boots in sizes 7.5, 7.5 wide, and 8. I am keeping the size 8. The 7.5 (both regular and wide) were too narrow in the toes. Eight fits just right. Will be wearing these to London in March.
The boot looks good. But it’s extremely hard to put the foot in. The opening is way too small. Once the foot is in, the boots are comfortable. I’m not going to struggle to wear it. So it will be going back. There are two zippers on both side. But only one is functional. If both are working, it will help to wear.
I wanted these to work as I loved the color but they were too narrow and would have been uncomfortable for walking any length of time. Already having narrower feet, sizing up would have meant slipping out at the heel. The hunt continues for the right color and fit.
I was nervous based on other reviews saying these boots are too narrow. I went with my usual boot size of 8.5 and they’re perfect. They aren’t too snug either. Just right fit and a boot sock fits nicely with them. I love the traction on the sole and the stylish square toe. I bought these for a UK trip and am so glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. My foot is slightly narrow already but I do have a bunion that can make fitting shoes hard, but no problem with these. Lovely booties! Blondo is such a dependable brand for good quality and chic design.
I purchased these in July in hopes of wearing them during the Fall. The first 2 times I wore them ( September) they were great. I took them with me in a European trip because they were comfortable & waterproof. The second time I wore them on the trip it felt like a nail had popped up on the inside of the bottom of the right boot and the outside of the right ankle began digging in, causing a bruise. I was unable to wear for the rest of my trip and since the return window passed, I’m stuck with expensive boots I can’t wear.
