These boots are very problematic. First, you cannot wear them all day walking because of the heel elevation. Second, they are very stiff even after breaking in, which will affect your gait. Third, they are waterproof but your toes will freeze without a foot warmer in them. Fourth, they are slippery on any ice or snow which is why you would purchase them in the first place. I believe the rubber they used for the sole is way too hard for it to be effective in a cold climate. Like snow tires, the sole needs to be made of soft rubber so it grips snow and ice. These are a falling hazard in snowy, ice conditions. Wish I could return these. I regret my purchase. Replaced with ugg snow boots and they grip the snow and ice 1000% better.
