These ankle boots are much more cute in person than the image online represents and comfortable too! They feel as though I'm wearing sneakers. I went up a half size larger than I normally wear in Born shoes, as suggested by other reviewers and I was not disappointed. It will accommodate thicker socks. They are a little snug when you first put them on, but within a hour of wear they stretched out comfortably. You can wear the tongue and heel flaps up or down depending on the look you want. I will say, however, that compared to my other Born mid-calf boots the leather is more lightweight, rigid, and not as soft, but overall comfort and cuteness wins!
I have fairly wide feet, but these shoes fit me just fine. I go between a 9.5-10 and I purchased size 9.5. They fit great! Both of my feet feel snug and they are very comfortable. I love the support they provide. Altogether a great pair of shoes. They look good with jeans, but I probably will not wear them with leggings, given the tongue. The cafe color was darker in person which is fine with me. I think they will distress nicely over time. Love these shoes!
I ordered these shoes.. however when I got them they were to tight over the top of my toes.. Comfortable yes.. but boy are they UGLY.. I tried them on with jeans.. NOPE, I tried them on with slacks.. Really NOPE.. The leather is soft not stiff.. but they reminded me of boots that a NUN would wear.. I returned them to Amazon.. which as always is not ever a problem..
The color is much lighter than pictured. The back of the shoe is cut in an odd way that it made my heel slip, so I tried tying it tighter which helped, but then it was too tight on the top of my foot. It’s a cute shoe, just not designed well if you plan to actually walk in them.
This was a gift for my mom. She usually wears 7.5 (which is the size I bought her), but she had to apply shoe-widening cream inside the shoe because it was a bit too snug. Other than that, it's a charming boot from Born! The front flap of the shoe actually protrudes more than you think in the pictures, but I guess that's what gives it it's unique charm.
loved the shoes but they were a little too snug and too narrow. enough so that i returned them, not wanting to take a chance that they would not stretch. i just received the next size up and so far so good :)
Cute shoes, but are a little larger than normal fit. I thought wearing boot socks would help, but it didn't. The 'pleather' is very stiff and uncomfortable and I'll either be trying to return these, or donating to Goodwill. I purchased these as I have plantar fasciitis and have heard how Born are great for the feet; not so much! There is very little arch support, and not much cushion to the sole. I definitely would not recommend these for anyone with feet issues! Cute boot though.
These fit me as expected, after reading other reviews saying they are narrow. I usually wear 8 1/2 AA, so Born shoes are usually too wide for me. Based on other reviews, I took a chance and ordered these shoes in 8 1/2 B. They fit great, and are very comfy and stylish.
