Clarks, a name synonymous with comfort and quality, began in 1825 with two brothers, Cyrus and James Clark. Their story started with a simple idea: crafting slippers from sheepskin offcuts. This dedication to resourcefulness and innovation has been at the heart of Clarks for nearly 200 years.
Clarks prioritizes both comfort and timeless design. They are pioneers in foot-shaped technology, ensuring a perfect fit and all-day support. Their classic styles have transcended generations, while their commitment to innovation keeps them at the forefront of modern footwear trends.
These shoes are unparalleled! I am 60 yrs old, and have never seen shoes of this quality. I surely have never paid this much for a pair of shoes before. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I had no idea that shoes could, or should, feel this good. I have bought many good name brand name shoes, including Clark's. This one in particular is the most comfortable, stable, high quality shoe I've seen yet. I have ruined my feet with wearing shoes that were too small, or the heels were too high...or both...whatever it took to be cute! As a result, I can't wear just any shoe now. I have to have something soft and comfortable. I wore these all day and did a lot of standing and walking. I noticed the wonderful comfort...all day. They have a high quality feel, and look, about them. I didn't want to pull them off when I got home. Usually, I can't wait to get my shoes off. As for the fit: I normally wear a 7 1/2 or 8. On Amazon, It recommended that I order a 7 1/2. However, based on other Clark's I've owned, I ordered an 8. It fits perfect. I probably could have worn the 7 1/2, but it would have been tight...and this review may have taken a different turn. I love these so much that I have ordered them in the brown, and the navy. I also ordered my boyfriend a pair of the men's unstructured. You won't go wrong with these shoes. Try them... If I haven't already bought them all!
Great shoe for an elderly client and stylish with support for a younger person. Great for work where I stand quite abit!
My second pair in 8 years … fabulous shoe … can insert orthotic also!
I purchased my first pair of these shoes about five years ago. The were very well made and extremely comfortable until, unfortunately, my feet started changing. Bought a larger size but had to return them because my heel slips. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that this show would fit most feet. (I have a 3A heel, low instep, and need a B width for the rest of my foot.)
I purchased these shoes when I finally wore the soles of one of my old pair of Clarks Unstructured shoes to an uneven walking surface through daily use over the last two years. My previous shoes were perfect for my job on my feet 8 hours a day while still looking dressy enough for work. These shoes are structured (or Unstructured) in the same way as my last shoes. The biggest difference to me is that the leather on these shoes is significantly stiffer than either my previous suede or leather pair of the old model. All shoes (especially leather) require some break in, but these shoes are extraordinarily stiff right out of the box. I was able to soften them up by twice coating the shoes in mink oil. They now have an excellent appearance and are quite waterproof (I did not test this before oiling them) but the uppers are still more stiff than I would like for a pair of shoes I have worn for 8+ hours for about 20 days now. They are softening, but I continue to feel pressure points on my toes and sides of my feet towards the end of the day.Overall these have great support and easily accommodate my rather hefty orthotics when I remove the provided footed. They look nice, though the are a little light in color for my taste. I am confident these will continue to soften with use and will update this review if that is not the case. I do recommend oiling them upon arrival as this should help break them in.
Very comfortable shoes. This is the second pair I’ve bought in the last couple of years. I wore them on our trip to Germany. Comfortable, stylish walking shoes.
After reading a ton of reviews I was afraid they'd be too narrow. I wear 9 or 9.5 depending on the shoe, so ordered 9.5. At first I thought I had too much space at the toe but I looked it up and it says a thumb's width is good and that's what it is. They're pretty snug but not uncomfortably tight at all, and in fact with plantar fasciitis, it's recommended to have good support, so. The arch support is pretty good, but again with PF you're supposed to have high arch support so I put my Dr. Scholl's PF inserts in them. I've been wearing them the last 3 or 4 days walking the dog and I love them! Just perfect for me.
First, I must say these are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in a very long time. I have a bunion on my left foot and I am trying to avoid surgery. I need shoes with a wide footbed and decent arch support. These shoes, in wide, have a big enough box that there is no rubbing on my bunion. As a bonus, the inside is so soft, it's like wearing slippers! The arch support is just ok; when I wear them I have decide between lots of room or a little less room and the excellent support of my montrail enduro soles. I love these shoes so much I bought the same pair in brown.I originally bought them for casual wear, but they are so darn comfy they have been sneaking into my work outfits on casual days. When I found that amazon sold them, I thought I would buy a second pair to keep at the office for non casual days when my feet just wanted a break. The ones that came, unfortunately, did not fit the same as either my black or brown ones. They were more narrow, and immediately caused my bad foot pain. The only difference I could find was that my shoes has "2/11" stamped inside, and the new ones has "9/11" (born on date?).I had to return them, but if I find them in a store and can verify the same fit, I am definitely getting a second pair!
