Dearfoams Women's Original Comfort Outside Zip & Lace Bootie with Faux Fur Detail Platform, Brown, 8.5

I have a pair of Dearfoam’s Fireside Slippers that I absolutely love so I was expecting to get that same sort of comfort and quality from their Side Zip Booty, which I did, sort of.WHAT I LIKE:1.) Right off the bat, I love the style and the way they look on me – they are so cute!2.) I love the side zip for easy on and off.3.) I love the Color combo (brown and white). Note: the white trim is just trim. It is not inside the entire boot.4.) This chunky sole is stylish and is provides a lot of cushion when walking.5.) The zipper is metal and seems to be of good quality.6.) They appear to be well made.7.) They’re versatile in the fact I can go from house lounging and to the store.8.) The sizing is perfect. I wear an 8.5 to 9.0 depending upon the shoe. I purchased the 8.5 and they fit perfect.THE NOT-SO-MUCH’S:1.) The biggest one for me is the Man-Made Uppers that look like leather, but just isn’t. I work with leather all day every day – it molds and forms to the shape of your body (and feet), and it breaths. I remembered how important that is to me when my feet began to feel sweaty and I started to notice that I was wearing high-tops. That’s on me so I’m not docking a star for it.2.) The shoe laces are just ‘eh.3.) The insoles under the ball of the foot are on the thin side but can easily be replaced.All and all, I really do love these booties ! And the things that I don’t like so much, I would only want to dock my rating by half a star which isn’t possible.

I have skinny, but not officially narrow, feet with high arches and long toes. I’m a pretty true US 7.5.I really like the style of the bootie/hightops. The gray is medium. The fabric gives a faux suede vibe but feels more like felt. I had to work really hard to tighten the laces so I am especially grateful for the side zipper for easy on/off. The faux fur trim is deep black and soft but just for looks. The inside of the shoes has a soft felt lining that is not particularly thick. I wrongly assumed the booties would be great for snow days but they don’t offer any real warmth. The sole is flexible but it only took 10 minutes to walk a crease across the toes. I found the booties to be a little big in both length and width. Even with thicker socks, the toe box is too wide for my feet. This pair is extremely lightweight. I don’t think they would be great for a lot of walking though as there is little arch support and no noticiable cushion. Memory foam inserts would greatly improve the comfort of these shoes.Overall, for my skinny feet these fall in the “for looks only” category. They are not uncomfortable so much as not comfortable enough for long wear. I could wear them to run a few errands or to the store but I would not pick this pair to go shopping all day or to a concert because they don’t fit my feet well enough or offer enough support. To be honest, I probably would’ve passed on these in the store just because of the fit. Quality wise, these are also a little low for the price range.

A variation on Chuck Taylor lace-up high top sneakers but this style has a subtle fuzzy trim accenting both sides of the 6 metal eyelet opening. I wear a size 8 1/2 and my foot is between a B and C width—just s bit wider than average width and the 8 1/2 size in this style fits comfortably. The sole flexes so they don’t feel stiff when walking and the side zipper permits easy on and off.The fabric upper has a faux suede feel and the lining is a soft microfiber. The shoes are touted to be breathable and they seem to be so—they are not designed to repel snow. The sole is textured to help keep footing on wet or slippery surfaces. The heel portion of the inner sole is better cushioned than the front of the foot and there is minimal arch support.The interior is lined with a soft low-pile microfiber cloth and the top half of the tongue is lightly padded as is the collar of that rests on the leg. The shoes are stated to be washable—machine wash on gentle cycle in cold water, use no bleach and dry flat. Fun take on a classic style.

Skip these for sure. They look so cheap. The quality is terrible too. The Faux leather is terrible looking. They run very wide and don’t look good. Don’t waste your money.

Really cute! The comfort of slippers, with the structure of a boot. These are SUPER lightweight and almost feel like you are wearing a slipper, but they're more supportive, they zip up, and they have a rubber bottom. Perfect for putting on to walk the dogs or run a few errands, probably not great for walking around in the snow. They don't have much traction and the material would probably get ruined if exposed to lots of moisture. I love that the have a zipper, so you don't have to deal with the laces every day. I like the height as well. I typically wear either an 8.5 or a 9, depending on the shoe, and these have a lot of extra wiggle room for me in a 9. More than I'd expect. They also have plenty of width to them, so the overall size is just a bit too big. If you're wearing with thick socks, that'd probably be fine though.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a Dearfoams Lace Bootie that wasn't a slipper, let alone with a zipper! They afford the expected Dearfoams comfort and the size, for me, fit as expected. While I wasn't expecting it, I kinda wish there was fur inside, but the accent's ok. I like the zipper because I don't have to lace these booties every time I wear them.If you're like me and have older feet that have lost some of the cushion they used to have, you'll want to use an insert with these shoes. I do that with almost all shoes these days and the ones pictured are thin enough to use in any shoe and perfect for this pair, without crowding my feet in the toe box, even while wearing thin or medium weight socks. I feel like my feet would get sweaty if I wear these shoes without socks and I'm one who hardly ever wears shoes without socks if they're not sandals.I was looking for a comfy, casual shoe to wear in my basement office during these cold Winter months. These Dearfoams are the perfect solution. I can also see me wearing them to work in the garage or running quick errands. Glad I found them.
