ECCO, a Danish footwear brand founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: creating comfortable shoes that mimicked the barefoot walking experience. Toosbuy believed that shoes shouldn't restrict the natural movement of the foot, and ECCO's commitment to ergonomic design has been at the heart of the brand ever since.
ECCO prioritizes both comfort and style. They utilize innovative technologies and premium materials to create shoes that are anatomically shaped, lightweight, and flexible. ECCO also boasts a keen eye for design, offering a range of styles that are both functional and fashion-forward.
They’re comfortable right out of the box. I wear an 8 in most shoes and the 8-8.5 fits perfect. Like a sock? They’re so comfortable I wear them everyday to walk my dog. I wore them to the beach on a cold day and they didn’t get wet inside even with the water going over the top of my toes. They hold up really well, they have great traction, they are cute, no blisters nomatter how long I wear them….my complaint is that they don’t come in every color under the sun. I hope this is not a discontinued model because I couldn’t have asked for a better shoe. They keep myFeet warm too! But boy oh boy, don’t wear them without socks like I did. They get quite smelly.
Ordered these for a 4 country trip to Europe during winter with lots of walking and cobblestone streets. These kept my feet comfy, cozy and dry while wearing them for 2 weeks straight in conditions including rain. They were perfectly supportive and looked nice enough to go from sight seeing to dinner in. The ribbon ties dress them up, but are challenging to keep tied (came loose at times even with double bow). Easy on/off with zipper once adjusted for comfort with the laces. Minimal to no break in period. One of the best footwear purchases I have made!
However, after 6 months the left shoe side zipper is stuck and if I somehow manage to pull it up I can’t move it down. This is why I can’t wear them anymore
I wanted a pair of waterproof, insulated, good tread shoes to supplement my snow boots. These sneakers meet that need in almost all aspects. On the plus side, they have great arch support and good tread, and are super cute, with soft leather in a great color (I got cashmere). The only negatives for me are they rub just a tiny bit on the side of heel and they weren't as warm as I planned for them to be! I anticipate the rubbing will go away once they are broke in a bit and it certainly isn't anything that's causing pain or blisters. The rubbing is why I gave them four stars, but I'd give them 4.5 starts if that was an option. As for warmth, I was expecting them to be as warm as my snow boots, which isn't realistic because my snow boots have about a 1" sole and these are sneakers, so right on the ground. They will be sufficiently warm on days when it's not zero degrees with fresh snow on the ground! And did I mention they are super cute?
This is really nice pair of shoes. Looks warm inside of shoes and has waterproofing function. But I recommend to choose 1 size bigger than what yuo normally wear.It is 1/2 size smaller than normal size, I think. In general, I'd like to buy another pair of shoes for my wife, if I need.
These shoes are super cute and I liked that they came with two different styles of laces, regular thin and wide flat ribbon. They seem high quality and I wanted to love them, unfortunately they were way too narrow for my feet so I had to return them. Part of me wanted to keep them and just endure the pain that would surely follow but with such a high price, I could not justify it!
I bought the Morel color, and it is very attractive. This boot is actually more attractive on than in the picture, has a slipper like fuzzy soft lining that keeps my feet warm, and even though I wore all day with one of our typical Northwest rains, my feet are dry. The fuzzy lining does take up space, so I bought the one size larger, and it fits and is comfortable. This is one of my favorite Ecco shoes and so I also bought a pair in a dark color. I first adjusted the fitting by closing the zippers and adjusting the tie to fit, so now only use the zippers, a nice feature.
I wanted high top shoes lighter than hiking boots. Ecco shoes fit my slightly wide foot perfectly. I can walk farther with no pain in my shins or ankles.
