I bought these for work . Very comfortable . Warm and well made . Love them !
I am always looking for a shoe/boot that allows me to feel safe, comfortable, and dry while wearing it--- the empire hi wr delivers just that. I barely find a minute to sit during my long days, due to work and my social life. This boot has a very comfortable memory foam inside of it that keeps my feet feeling relaxed at the end of the day. Easy to walk in, every step felt sturdy.Where I work and live (NYC), brings weather that is snowy and wet, but this boot keeps me very dry. It allows me to feel safe while walking in any weather condition. The way the empire hi hugs my foot and ankle allows me to rock these with a pair of jeans or leggings. You can dress down or up for almost any daily routine, work or hiking for sure.i would suggest getting half a size bigger because my feet felt a little claustrophobic in the boot .Overall, I really love them and how comfortable I feel when doing so.
The Lugs Women's Empire boot caught my attention due to the red color and the floral, tooled design all over the boot. I'm not sure how these will work for me because the sole is heavy and the faux leather is really stiff. This is a typical Lugs boot in that regard. They are true to size and they are really attractive. I have problems with foot pain especially in my left foot and I hesitate to wear any shoe or boot for long periods of time at first. I hoped that I could wear these to work but I must stand and walk on concrete floors and these have very little cushioning. It's not likely that I can use these for work where comfort for 12 hours is essential. Adding an insole would be a must and that could make the fit too tight for me.
After doing EXTENSIVE research of work boots on the internet, I was pretty skeptical getting these, as I was looking for non-leather work boots that are of good quality for my money. I absolutely LOVE THEM.Pros:Can be used for work (on your feet all day, light water conditions, mud- I worked with 20+ dogs up to 9 hrs at a time and had to deal with their "messes")Can be worn casually (I've gotten countless compliments when I wear them with jeans!)Super comfortable/sole takes some impact- I have a bad knee since surgery about 7 years ago, and I wasn't expecting how great these shoes would take the impact of walking/running! I definitely feel the memory foam bottom, making movement and stand more tolerable than normal sneakersWater RESISTANT- Obviously not 100% waterproof, as most things are, just be careful with non water-soluble liquids, but if you wipe it off soon after it should be fine!SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT- Once again, I was skeptical because, how could big work boots be "light?" Well heck, these are! It's hard to describe, but it has just as much weight as strappy sandals!Cons:Only con I have experienced so far is that it takes a few long work days to break them in, but once it does, it was totally worth it. If anything changes I will update this review, but so far it's been a month and I don't regret anything!Hope this helps!
Better in the wet/cold than my winter boots, have had no problems with water resistance, super comfortable and handsome, good quality, and really pleased that they are not leather/suede. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Worth noting I tried the tan color of the same model and returned because the footbed was different and not as warm/plush/comfortable.
I wanted to like these and by the time I broke them in it was passed the return window. The heel is weak and caves in. I have to wear anklets and thick socks to be comfortable. A pain to get on. And now a grommet I believe it's called fell off today. I have only worn these a handful of times for a 8 hour shift. I'm not hard on my shoes. I avoid wearing them when I can.

I am so impressed with these boots! I needed boots that would survive winters in Colorado and I have definitely found them. They are really great in the snow and slush (no slipping, completely waterproof, great quality) but they also look stylish at the same time. They give me all the winter protection I need without looking bulky - I actually get a lot of compliments when I wear them! They also keep my toes really warm, which is super important to me. These boots were exactly what I was looking for. I got mine in Grey and it matches every outfit, love the color. 100% recommend these boots.
