Comfy "minimalist" (?) white ankle boots that FIT! I've sent back so many boots this month: the new UGGs (no reseller's fault) just don't hold a candle to the originals, or they HURT – like how Aerosoles used to be nearly ballet-shoe flexible, but now they're like Louboutins and not in that good way) . I thought I'd hate these. I got 'em in white because it matches a great coat I have, and THEY'RE NOT UGLY. For fake fur (and I'm having well-cared-for Uggs re-soled so yeah, I know the difference) these are pretty warm. Not "hot feet" warm (which I like), but not "just for show" warm, either. And possibly best: their weird shoe insoles I almost tossed accidentally, thinking they were packing, are just basic insoles I guess, but make this boot qualify (I think) as "minimalist" (healthy to wear)! I'm wearing silicon TOE STRETCHERS ***in*** these boots and they feel great! And they're what: $50-$60? Lightweight, and healthy for the foot? And "not ugly" (imo, only the white qualifies for that; I wouldn't have gotten these in any other shade. Sorry Rika). But really I've sent back fur-lined Tibs, UGGs, the Docs with the fur and SHARP LOOKING gold thread — those were like "2020 Year of Iron Boots To Break Feet Off at Ankles"??? "Ugh!" (Well, the new UGGs aren't "hard"; they're just not UGGs imo – I like my old ones and will be shopping "vintage" UGGs I suppose until they get some quality control.)So I get these because some lady from Church said "get these and stop yer whinin!" and ...these work! One oddity is that without the insole that isn't glued in, well, you HAVE to have insoles. Glad I caught the branding on the insert before throwing 'em out. Anyway, I think I could put UGG insoles in, but I'll try that later because I need the toe stretchers now (doing a wrong yoga position I suppose, pinky toe is all bent up weird), and the thick fur UGG insoles might make these too tight at the top of the foot while I'm wearing socks over those silicone toe stretchers.I didn't have a lot of hope (because the only video reviews were freakin QVC which, sorry, gives me hives), but I LOVE EM. All those "lovely" 5-star boots I sent back in the last FEW WEEKS at least twice the cost (usually more), and THESE are "the winner". I'll keep an eye out for this brand. If you (Rika) would get off QVC, more people might know about this brand. (FYI) Thanks!
Love these boots. They are lightweight but sturdy, easy to slip on and take off, have a roomy toe box, offer a fit that is adjustable, and are high enough to keep ankles warm, to boot (pun intended). I haven't yet worn them on icy walks, as the season is too early for that yet, but they feel like they would be pretty stable.
This is my fifth pair of this style. They're terribly cute, and very comfortable. Probably no one else does this, but my feet are so bad I have to have extremely cushiony insoles. I take theirs out, put in two double thickness Dr Scholl's inserts and use them as house slippers. Of course I go outside with them, but I have tile floors and do a lot of work indoors and the hard tile beat my feet terribly. So these are my solution, and until they stop making these (God forbid), I will keep buying a pair about every 6 months. I'm hard on shoes. I wore this particular pair to Washington DC over Christmas where I walked a thousand miles, I swear! They were cute, they allowed me to walk in comfort and warmth because it was really cold, and now I wear them indoors because I live in Florida and who the heck wears snow boots in Florida? I forgot to mention the color is very nice. It kind of looks like gray putty in the photo but it's more like a creamy white.
I haven't try them in cold temperatures, but they fit well and feel warm. The toe box feels a bit small, so with thicks socks or insoles this could be a problem. They are very comfy otherwise. I like them, but they look sporty, so I will use them just for short runs to school, etc.
Love, love, love these boots! Definitely need to order 1 size up. These are the warmest, most comfortable boots I have ever owned and they are so cute 😊 Great for walking - still need my grips on the bottom because the paths got very icy here in MN but still incredibly comfortable walking boot for any conditions. I picked this boot because I have the athletic shoes of this same brand that are also incredibly comfortable walking shoe - good quality.
I like the comfort of these booties a lot. However, there are two large problems. They are very comfortable but not warm. My toes freeze in these things when wearing for long periods of time. They look warm, but only good for running around, not spending long periods of time outside in cold weather.Next problem is the small clip thing that allows you to adjust the tightness does not hold. I make them fit and tighten them up and they just slip out of place and loosen up. It's very annoying because i have narrow feet.
I don't normally review things, who has time for that.. but I'm also the first to go to reviews when buying items. Whoops. So, I wanted to leave a review on these boots. First of all, I had a pair of these, different color last year, and I LOVED them so much. However, we have a little person and I'm missing 1 shoe to my old pair somewhere HA, so ordered these for this winter. I normally wear a 8.5 and if I can find wide, I prefer wide. With boots I always order .5 size or 1 full size up and ALWAYS want wide when ordering boots. With this brand/style I ordered 9 Wide - and they fit like a glove with a little wiggle room in the toe area, which I love as I hate feeling restricted in shoes! They are SO light and easy to walk in compared to the big clunky snow boots. They are probably not for running around IN the snow all day, but they are def. for everyday walking to work, errands etc where you may need more than the normal work shoe to commute. Also, my feet are usually warm anyways, but when wearing these for short walks into work etc. they do not overheat, and would benefit anyone that have cold feet.Hope this helps anyone debating on buying these and what size to purchase.
