Love these Sofft boots!Very stylish and good quality material. The lacing on the back is attractive and can be adjusted for a perfect fit, making an otherwise clunky-looking heel, very elegant!The inner footbed is padded and comfortable to wear.I ordered grey smoke nubuck, size 8.5 (usually wear size 8) but wanted room for socks.They look good with leggings, jeans and skirts.Highly recommend.
I figured I'd write a review since I waited 8 months to buy these gorgeous boots out of fear the calves would be too small. My calves are about 16 inches and these fit them no problem. I had to loosen the laces up top a little but not as far as they can loosen. I have no doubt I could throw a thick pair of socks on and be within their limits. The look of the boots is exactly my style (I got the black suede ones). They are slimming, simple with just enough detail to be interesting and I could not be happier with them. I only have two caveats, one is that the lower part of the shaft has just a tiny bit of sag to it, just enough that it rubs a little with super thin socks but I might play with the laces a bit more to see if it's fixable. The other is that sofft runs super small imo. I usually wear a 9 and ordered a 10. Turned out ever so slightly roomy and will be perfect with thicker socks. I'm glad this was my second pair from sofft so I already knew to size up. Overall, best looking boots I own, absolutely thrilled!!!
I like Sofft brand and have purchased their shoes in the past; the quality is above par and that is why I keep coming back to this brand. I have muscular calves that are larger than average so it is hard to find knee high boots that will fit; usually they are made from cheaper quality materials or fabric for stretch so that they can adjust to zip over larger calves. I was drawn to these because I expected with the lacing in the back it would be easy to adjust for a custom fit.With the laces as they came with the boot I was not able to zip it over my calf. I loosened the laces down to the area of the most resistance; I had to take the laces out at the top 2 holes then I was able to loosen the laces enough to zip up the boots and they fit well.To resolve the fit issue in the calf area I ordered longer laces; the laces that come with the boot are about 79 inches. I ordered new laces that are 86 inches, that is next longer length. I believe these will work well and give me enough to lace the top two holes and to tie them. The new laces were about $13 on amazon.The foot of the boot fit perfectly for me, I ordered size 10 which is my normal size.There was a tag on the boot which says water proof leather which is another feature I like for these boots.As a side note this boot is available in a shorter style as well, which I may purchase in Black.I would give these 5 stars but I have not really worn them yet; also having to get the additional laces is an extra step to go through but only a small bother since I really like the lace up styling in the back and want them to fit well.

I received these today and cannot believe my good fortune! For so many years, I've longed for true size 10 boots with a shaft that fit my calf like a glove instead of gapping all over the place. In the past, I've even bought high leather boots and had a cobbler resize the shaft--which cost as much as the boots did! But with these, I didn't even need to re-tie them to make the shaft smaller--they fit my calves perfectly right out of the box! And they are GORGEOUS. And waterproof as a bonus, even though they look and feel like normal premium suede. I've had several pairs of Sofft sandals and ankle boots over the years and cannot recommend this brand enough for both style and comfort--just never knew about their high boots til now. Very, very happy with my purchase!!!
I have large bunions and have never found a boot that I can wear until these! Bought 1/2 size larger and they fit perfect with a thin sock. The upper leather is soft enough I know they will contour to my odd shape feet. The heel and sole are rubber-ish, soft and quiet on hardwood floors. If your not familiar with the Sofft brand, they are the very best quality. (Look at the bottom of these soles!) I’ve also noticed arch support. I love the distressed look! Yup! Put them on this morning and wore them all day!
