My 8 year old son loves these boots! They are perfect with his bootleg jeans.
I bought a $20 pair of generic cow girl boots for my 3 year old daughter before Christmas. They were very cute, but she wore them so much that within a few months she quickly wore a whole through the soles! Since she wears her boots every day without fail, I decided to splurge and get a higher quality leather boot in the hope that they will last longer and be better/healthier for her still growing/forming foot. Although I don't think I have ever paid this much for a shoe for myself even, I will say that I have NO regrets. These boots are awesome. They are soooo attractive/cute and well made. Although we are 100% city folk, I love that they are not just for looks...that they could easily withstand daily life on the farm (because life on the playground can be very hard on shoes). They also have an in-sole that can be removed as her foot grows so that she will get longer wear out of them. They came in the mail Friday and she has not taken them off since except to sleep! As long as she continues to love being a cow girl, I don't think we will buy another brand but Ariat. VERY IMPRESSED and worth the money. I may have to buy a pair for myself ;).Note: She wears and 8 or 9 toddler shoe. I initially bought a 10 to economize..thinking she could wear them now and grow in to them (this has worked with other brands/styles in past). That was a silly idea. The 10's were huge. 8.5 did the trick and had wiggle room in toe. Shoe is true to size or even runs maybe a 1/2 size larger.Ugh- Just realized these are made in China. Doesn't change my review, I simply find this very disappointing because I envisioned them being made with love in the American Wild Wild West.
LOVE Ariat boots; whole family wears them and they last forever! GREAT quality/leather. This is my son's second pair and he's wearing Little Boys size 1 in gym shoes at 7 years old. So I ordered size 1.5 so they'd be a bit roomier for growth as these are not cheap to buy every year. Well the 1.5 was HUGE! They were like 3 sizes bigger than his foot. I had to return them and get size 13.5 which is still a bit big but he will grow into. This is the same for me too. I wear a 7-7.5 in gym shoes and in Ariats, a 6-6.5 fits great. SOOO comfortable that we wear them all day long; not like the boots of the past where you cannot wait to pry them off.
I bought these for my 5 yr old son who wanted blue cowboy boots and he loves them! They are beautiful and well made. My only issue was that they run big. We used the measurement guide provided online, as well as advice received from a western wear shop who sells these boots, and ordered a 12.5 (he normally wears an 11.5 in shoes), but wanted to give him a little room to grow. The 12.5 was enormous and we had to return them, but reordered the same boot in the 11.5 which fits him and still leaves a little growing room. The colors are bold and the leather is nice. All in all, a great buy.....once we found the right size!
I ordered these for my soon to be 6 year old who has been bugging me for boots for a while. I ordered these based on brand reviews and quality, plus they were in my price range for a high quality boot. The leather is sturdy and thick yet soft to touch. The red stitching is as it looked in the pics, stubble yet really nice, and the sole is somewhat gripping, but in no means like a soft rubber sole on a tennis shoe. I messed up and ordered him a size 2.5, when he really needed a 1.5, but like them so much I am keeping these for later on. He was trilled to put them on and says they are really comfortable, even though they are too big!
Delivery was very fast. Ordered on Wend. had them by Friday. They were packaged safely, and arrived without problems. My 7yr old loves them. He says they are a little big. I was aware of other reviewers stating that they run big, so I bought the same size as his tennis shoes that we bought back in August. (1.5). He will grow into them nicely. He loves how much room his toes have with the square toe boot. I love the look of the distressed leather with the red detailing. Excellent traction on the bottoms He wears these boots in the ice and snow, and no slipping and sliding. I would buy this product again.
I hadn't ever bought a square toe boot but always liked the look, and was pleasantly surprised at the roominess of the boot. My daughter loves it. I did also order a size bigger than what she needed but it comes with a removable insert for a longer wear. I really didn't need to order the size bigger, but eh. The color and pattern are true to the picture. Delivery was right on time. Good boot, and good service.
My 8 year old son loves these boots. They seem to fit pretty well. I bought him a 1 1/2, which is the same size he wears in athletic shoes and they fit about the same. The only thing I don't like about them is that after wearing them for one school day they already look like they're about two years old, and he is not a kid who is really hard on his shoes either.
