Great well-made boots! The photos sold me on this pair of boots and I've had some really good experiences with Ariat boots lately. They're just so much more comfortable and definitely do not disappoint. I bought these to replace a pair of designer knee-high leather boots that have worn down in the sole after five years of wear and are a little stretched out. When I got them they were pretty stiff though and I felt like the right boot was a little bit tighter in the calf than the left boot. But that could also have been due to the fact that I had surgery on my left ankle and my left calf is significantly smaller than my right one. However. It did take about a week before they got broken in, and all discomfort has disappeared. I have wide feet but the medium width isn't causing me any problems so after breaking them in they are awesome. The leather isn't the delicate soft leather that you have to worry about shining and caring for. This is sturdy leather meant to last and has a sort of matte finish so it doesn't get scuffed or look dingy if you want to run a marathon in them, not that I'm planning to. I feel really good about the investment in this pair and am confident I'll get more than five years out of them. However, if you have wide calves these might be too tight for you. In comparison to other women, I do have chicken legs so the slimness of the calves work well for me. So if your calves are on the narrower side, these boots are quite flattering. If your calves are on the wider side and have the patience to stretch them out a bit then best of luck to you!
I have been searching and searching for a pair of knee high boots that fit well on skinny/athletic calves. As a petite (5’2”) woman, it can be hard to find a boot that flatters with my frame without overwhelming it. It’s a snug enough fit that it doesn’t look oversized, but just enough room I can definitely fit a pair of skinny jeans into. The boot itself fit about a half size big. I ended up having to return the original to size down. They feel very well made and sturdy. Waterproof is a bonus I hadn’t been searching for explicitly. These few like a solid well made boot that should last awhile with good care.
Fit is perfect. I’m a size 10. They fit well in the footbed and in the calf. I wear lower heel shoes always and these are really nice and comfortable. They zip easily over jeans and I’ll be able to wear a heavier sock for winter with them. Really beautiful leather and the big plus is the no slip sole!
I am a big fan of ariat shoes and have a variety of styles from cowboy boots to wedge heels and found them all to be really comfortable...I cannot say the same about these. I like the way they look and are really well made but these really make the arch of my foot ache after about 10 mins or so. I’m not sure why considering I wear my cowboy boots almost daily and haven’t encountered this pain. I will try to get an insole that helps and doesn’t make the overall boot too tight. I’d recommend if possible to try them on before purchasing to avoid any disappointment. You Definitely wont be disappointed with the look or quality, really cute
I have large calves and usually have to buy custom boots. The laces on these boots allow you to zip the boot up, then adjust the laces for a perfect fit and an elegant look. They are very comfortable right out of the box, and have enough insulation to keep your feet warm, but aren't so bulky that they don't fit in the stirrups, and they're gorgeous! Can you make these in a regular boot please? I would wear them every day for schooling!Update: Thank you for making a regular lace-up boot. However, they are not made the same way these winter boots are made. One side of the boot comes around to the center of my shin, but the other side does not even come close enough to lace, yet there is a huge bulge in the calf! It's as if you took a slim calf and just added a huge bulge to accomodate a large calf. Again, if you can make a regular boot like this winter version, I'll buy it!
I bought these boots for our trip to Ireland- they are exactly what I was hoping for.Comfortable- durable- water resistant- and stylish.I’m 5’8” at 145 and the shaft fits perfectly with room to wear over jeans and the height of the shaft falls about 2 1/2” below my knee. I have walked over 10 miles in them so far and they still fit and look great.NOTE- I highly suggest wearing wool socks. The boots rub a little at the ankle- when I wear wool socks it adds padding and protection around the ankle. Aside from that - they are perfect.
The zipper on my most beloved pair of black boots recently broke, so I decided to pick up a new pair. I ended up purchasing these, and while they are okay, they aren't my favorite. So far they haven't been very comfortable. It's surprisingly difficult to get your foot in and out, even in super thin socks. It seems like the zipper could have been designed to go down toward the sole of the shoe a little further to make getting them on and off easier. They are also on the tight side, in every area - the heel and the top of the shoe particularly. I do have high arches, so the tightness in the top of the shoe could just be me, but it makes them uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. I tried stretching them with a shoe stretcher and while that seems to have helped a little, it's still not great. I'll wear them a few more times and see if I can break them in, but if you plan to purchase these, I'd recommend going up a half size. I almost always wear a size 6 with no variation, but these just feel tight (and there's no way I'd be able to wear them with thicker winter socks). That said, I did wear them through snow/puddles, and they were indeed waterproof like they claimed, so that's a big plus!
