8 feels more like a 7, narrow and short. otherwise comfy.i wear a 7.5 to 8 shoe and had to get the baffin escalate x in size 9.comfy with room to move toes around. will add an insole for a bit more snug fit.so for me, 8 was waaaaaay too tight and 9 is a little loose. but if you like thick socks, size UP.will update after my snow trip.
