We do a fair amount of hiking and the Mrs. wanted another pair for those weekend camping trips we take. These BASS OUTDOOR women's hiking boots are great. She's worn them a few times over a couple different camping trips and she says it's like wearing a comfortable shoe not a hard ridged hiking boot. Comfortable, lightweight and their even waterproof. Definitely worth the price. Enjoy
used them occasionally for moderate hikes and already started peeling off. not worth $54. In fact they went on sale for $28 a week after the amazon return policy ended and amazon refused to price adjust not to return. Degrading customer service.
These hiking boots haven’t been my favorite I’ve owned! Mostly because the sizing is pretty tight so I am not able to use as thick of socks as I’m used to while hiking. Also I tried loosening the laces to make up for the lack of room in the shoe but the laces are not long enough to support that kind of looseness. I’m used to hiking boots having unreasonably long laces for this very reason but I feel like these boots are more like sneakers in that sense.But other than those issues, the quality of the shoe looks nice and sturdy! If you have small feet or usually size up anyway, these should be great for you. For me I’m still trying to get used to them and will only be able to use them for short hikes as I can only wear thin socks with them.
Because I wear between an 8.5 and a 9, depending on shoe type and brand, I decided on a 9 in this Bass hiking boots to accommodate the thicker socks I'd wear with them. I'm happy with that choice. Although my feet swim in them when I wear everyday, thin socks, wearing them with true hiking socks gives me a perfect fit with a little room at the end to prevent jamming. Of course, because they are boots, it takes some effort to get them on because I need to loosen, then re-tightened them. That would be true of any brand of this style.The ankle boot cut requires a bit more breaking in than a lower-cut hiking shoe would. These have a generous toe box, padding around the foot opening (heel, ankle, and tongue), and good treads. I love that Bass uses kinked shoelaces that minimize the chance of their becoming untied. These boots are water-resistant, not waterproof. The slate gray color has pink accents, giving the boots just a touch of femininity.I love that these rugged boots hit all the right notes in a hiking boot. I wouldn't recommend wearing them right out of the box for a day-long hike, but once worn a bit, they should be able to have comfort for even a several day backpacking trip.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann
Thesee are beautifully made boots. Unfortunately they did not fit my wife as they run small. Also narrow in width. Boots are very attractive and are waterproof. Nice rugged sole for good traction during hikes. Wish they had fit. Will order a larger size as these are attractive and functional boots.
These are great! They are slightly higher on the ankle to prevent rolling your ankle-which I always do hiking! They are super light but have nice traction. I like the pink color it’s fun yet subtle. They are fairly waterproof too! I wouldn’t take them on anything too treacherous but they are great for day hikes. I am a true size 5.5 and after reading another review that said they were way small, I ordered a size 6. I wish I would have ordered my correct size because I feel they fit as expected.
I bought these about 3 weeks ago and was stoked at first, but as my picture will show you they are not holding up. I walk outside all day, almost 10 miles a day sometimes, and these unfortunately can't handle it. They are pretty water resistant. However they are not made very well.
My wife had been very much looking forward to these boots, she loves the brand and the boots are well made and would look great except she ordered her usual size of 7.5 and these boots won't fit her, they run very small. She is very disappointed since they look like they would be wonderful boots. If you order these, order at least a half size larger though I suspect a full size larger would work best.
