I have a pair of brown Blondo boots and lived them, so wanted another pair. I got these black ones for motorcycle riding. They are great, they are very comfortable, very easy to get off and on and waterproof (occasionally get caught in the rain when riding)
I tried purchasing the latest pair of these in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for 2023. They were suede, and I did not care for that style as much as the leather. Also, I learned that I needed to go from my typical size 9 to a 91/2. They fit perfect, and I am CRAZY about this style. So far, I have only worn them around the house because it's hot and it is summertime. I just wanted to encourage Amazon to keep this style in stock. They are a perfect replacement for my worn out waterproof boots.
I am not even patient enough to wait for better lighting for my picture. I put these on the moment I pulled them from the box. They are soft and supple with a thick rubber heel. They are heavy - as in quality -not as in clunky. Aren't we all tired of paying a lot of money for shoes and boots that will never last and seem cheap? I feel like I've had them for years. They are stylish but don't scream teen or biker boot. They do say I'm still allowed to be a bada$$ :) I usually order an 8 to have extra room for double socks with winter boots, so I ordered an 8.5 based on other helpful reviews. I'm wearing two socks here and they fit perfectly even with my Hobbity wide feet. (Tip: Two socks never make my feet sweat. One pair, however, DOES. There's probably a scientific reason for this, layers and thermal heat or whatever, but try it if you're a sweaty feet person). It's hard to buy online, but reviews sure make it easier. Hope this helps!
The Blondo Dagger is a very attractive boot. I wore it all over Paris and it kept my feet warm. On the other hand, the boot was uncomfortable - and after walking all day on them, the pressure on my bunions and feet (despite the fact that they have a nice rubber platform), was painful. In addition, the boots developed scuff marks on the inside heel area, which wore away the cheap 'pleather'. So, now they just look cheap. I contacted Blondo to see if they had some sort of repair patch but they will not service boots that are not bought on their website. Despite the attractiveness of the boot, they were very expensive because they wear poorly (after one week!) and are uncomfortable. The "Leather" in the product title is misleading. I did not expect full grain leather for this price, but I did expect something that would hold up more than one week with regular wear.
These are the most expensive boots I’ve ever purchased—and the most comfortable right out of the box. I wear a size 5.5 in every shoe I purchase, and these were a perfect fit. I bought them to wear in Colorado, and they were perfect. I was on my feet in these boots for 15 hrs a day for a week, and had no discomfort. One thing I really like about them is they are more fitted to my ankle than most. I also like that they give me a little height-I’m 4’11. I’m thinking about buying them in another color too.
It’s a cute and comfy boot, but I knew immediately when I pulled them out of the box that they were fake leather. The description may say “echo leather” but you have no indication what that is, so I had hoped it was real leather perhaps impregnated with waterproofing, but sadly it is not. The material has that too-smooth, fake, shiny look, and doesn’t crease with wear like real leather. I did size up to an 8 instead of my normal 7.5 based on other reviews, and that was a good decision. It leaves a bit of extra room for a thicker sock as well. Had I known for sure they weren’t real leather, I would have bought a less expensive version instead. They are waterproof and so the job though.
Very well made
I love these boots, they are the most comfy boots I have ever had. I have walked 10k plus steps in this every day during my trip. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because in one of my booths the zip is slightly broken and hurts my ankle, if socks are not present.
