I usually wear 8.5M in heeled shoes and 9M in athletic shoes. Unlike the other Cobb Hill ankle boots I own which are a tad small/narrow that I got them in 9M (Oliana cutout waterproof, Abbot panel), these Kailyn boots are more true to size so the size 9M was a tad big/wide on me. I changed out the insole to a thicker one with more cushioning under the ball of the foot and they are great now. (I don’t know if the insoles are supposed to be removable but they came out readily for me….) These boots have a different rubber outsole pattern than the other Cobb Hill boots that I own so I will look out for that feature on Cobb Hills boots to help inform me on sizing (in addition to reading reviews) in the future.
Discovered the Cobb Hill brand recently and now I have a couple of pairs. These boots are five star quality and worth every penny. Very well made, love the style and have beautiful grey colour. They fit exactly as expected, have a perfect heel height and with the cushioning, are extremely comfortable. Highly recommend.
These are soooo comfortable. When I took them into the shoe repair store to have heel "taps" put on he complimented the leather and quality.
Great boots with great support. The damage was my fault and now they don't have my size. I will check again next season. They are still very sturdy and wearable. BTW, they were several years old and I wear them A LOT.
Cobb Hill Women's Kailyn Ankle Boot - After buying 3 pair from Zappos in black and a grey pair from Amazon I think I can give an accurate assessment. I've never bought a single pair of shoes or boots in 40 years that were anywhere near as bad as any single boot, so in 8 boots not a single one would have been acceptable to give as a gift to my girlfriend. The leather uppers look like they were distressed before they were tanned. Marks, impressions, deep scratches in patches, not just a single scratch, poor quality leather with pebble looking grain on 3, and on one boot there was an area on the side just above the sole 1/2" x 2 1/2" where the tanning didn't take and was nearly white. I notified Zappos, they didn't even want them back and were going to send a message to the warehouse to pull them all to inspect, and to the buyer to caution future purchases. Cute design, horrible quality and an immense waste of time. I will never buy anything Cobb Hill again. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. 7/22/20
I bought them for my wife and she loves them. Any married man will appreciate that kind of success. You might even get a couple of hours of peace and quiet.
I have a narrow foot with a 2A heel and have tried lots of boots from the few brands that still make a narrow boot. Boots are hard to find that don't have me sliding forward and putting lots of pads in even when a narrow. I have not even put a heel pad in these. The comfort level is fabulous from the start. It is hard to find a stylish ankle boot for my jeans that doesn't hurt my old feet! Wish they had more colors.
