Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
Super comfortable, a little big but the last pair of Dr. Martens I got was 1 size smaller and was too small. Fit nice with a thicker pair of socks. Easy to clean, and good quality. Honestly no complaints, would recommend! Look snazzy too if you keep them clean
I wanted a pair of Docs that weren't bulky and these are perfect! They were on sale so I decided to go for it. They didn't disappoint. I am a fan of the Chelsea style boot and this are mid ankle, not to high so they're perfect. I am a true 8 in women's and after reading reviews decided to size down. The perfect fit! Simple and cute!
Boots were exactly as I expected. Docs usually run big in size. They don't have half sizes so size down instead of up if you have a question about size. You can't go wrong. Great. Stylish. Comfy.
These fit perfectly right out of the box, and I have barely taken them off since that day they arrived. I love these freakin boots SO MUCH. They are so comfortable, not heavy at all, and I have had no "break in period" whatsoever. You will have to pry these off my cold, dead feet. They are dirty in this photo because I just walked my dog.
Fit perfect out of the box and very comfortable have on had a pare of doc in 25 years they don’t disappoint .
I recently purchased this pair of boots and am happy with my purchase. These boots have become my go-to footwear for rainy and wet weather. They are not only comfortable but also very versatile. I can wear them with various outfits, and they always look great. The boots are also durable and have held up well even after multiple wears. Overall, I highly recommend these boots to anyone needing a reliable and stylish option for rainy days.
These are awesome. Feel great out of the box, look good for work, and better price here than doc martens website. I walk anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 steps at work and have tried many boots and these are the ones. Receive many compliments as well
I am a true 7.5(US)/38 (EUR) in women’s shoes, and I have wide, flat feet. I also measured my foot and it’s 9 & 1/4 of an inch long (9.6 inches). I followed the measurement guide on Dr. Marten’s website. Because these shoes run wide, I was able to get away with sizing down to a 6W/5M.I initially purchased size 7W/6M and thought, “wow these are nice, already broken in and roomy”, BUT, according to Dr. Marten’s website, their shoes should fit tight and snug, but not uncomfortable. It is also not supposed to be loose when you walk, or rub against you because of extra space. Finally, they will eventually stretch over time during the break in period. I found these exact shoes on their website as well and it was recommended to go an entire size down.I am glad I decided to return the 7W/5M and go with 6W/5M. It is snug and tight and I can feel the difference in how the shoe hugs my feet. My toes can still wiggle around, and my steps feel more firm/sturdy/controlled. I can wear them with the average thin sock and Nike’s socks, which are slightly thicker. I imagine that over time and breaking in, I can wear even thicker wool socks.Comfort and style is different for everyone. Good luck!
