They are made very well. Very comfortable to wear. The brown color is rich looking. Nothing I don't like about them.
I got similar Eastland boots a few years ago. They were mostly leather around the upper ankle and did not chafe or rub against my leg at all. Unfortunately, the top of these rub against my leg, a couple of inches above my ankle bone. The toe box is roomy and they are comfortable otherwise. I will try thicker socks. A little disappointing.
It took a long while for these boots to go on sale but it was well worth the wait. These we a great balance of respectable but comfy and cute boot to wear to the office or out for fun. I love how thick the zipper handle is, doesn't feel cheap. I advise to spray boots with one of the water proof shoes to keep it pristine. I love em and want more in more colors if I could.
Stiff and uncomfortable for me
I actually bought these to wear horseback riding on a camping trip. I wore them around the house for a couple of days with thick socks and my feet were a bit tender after that but on the trip, they were pretty comfy. I even wore them to drive 4.5 hours with no issues. My mom thought they were cute - even with leggings and they were the right mix of style and function for riding. They are true to size length wise but the instep is a bit snug if you have a tall foot. But they stretch out fairly easily. And, they seem to be constructed well so no issues at the barn. But I also keep my leather well oiled and cared for.
I have long second and third toes which aren't happy in shoes, so for the last decade I've been wearing sandals year round except for logger boots a full size too big when I take walks or hike trails. Winter is challenging in wet or snowy weather, so I have to have something slip-on for going to town. These boots are very comfortable for the purpose and they look good.
