ECCO, a Danish footwear brand founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: creating comfortable shoes that mimicked the barefoot walking experience. Toosbuy believed that shoes shouldn't restrict the natural movement of the foot, and ECCO's commitment to ergonomic design has been at the heart of the brand ever since.
ECCO prioritizes both comfort and style. They utilize innovative technologies and premium materials to create shoes that are anatomically shaped, lightweight, and flexible. ECCO also boasts a keen eye for design, offering a range of styles that are both functional and fashion-forward.
Are GREAT! From day one they were comfortable, verses needing the proverbial “break in” time that so many new boots require. They are stylish but not gaudy looking, (I prefer more of a classic style myself) I haven’t traveled with them yet but because of their ease of on/off, I’m confident I’ll sail through the TSA check with minimal issues. I wear them with jeans and they look amazing. This boot is quickly becoming my go to favorite for errand running while it’s still cold outside and will be a nice Spring transition.
These are very comfortable…after you buy the $40 Ecco insole to put in. I’ve never seen Ecco’s sold without the insoles except on Amazon. Maybe that’s why it’s a better price. So add $40 to the price you see and you’ll be happy you got these.
I love the boots. The insole is absolute crap. They work well with different inserts, but honestly for $160, I shouldn’t have to buy inserts. Just saying…
Beautiful boot, a bit wide. What I don’t understand is the lack of the usual great supportive innersole Ecco is known for. These have a thin felt-like liner. I guess if you are willing to replace it you may be happy with these.
Bought these because other reviewers said they were comfortable right out of the box. I really put that claim to test on my recent trip to England. Wore them everywhere. And I’m big on walking. They’re stylish AND functional. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase.I’m a US size 6.5. Bought the 6-6.5. Fit perfectly, with enough room for wool socks (I purchased and wore them in December).
As a 'mature' woman who likes to look current, I was searching for an ankle boot with a lug sole that is not too exaggerated and clunky. This one is perfect, with the added bonus that it is not too heavy and the sole should provide good traction in slushy snow. I typically wear a size 9 and have a narrow-to-medium foot: the size 39 (8-8.5) fit perfectly. The shale color is a dark taupe/brownish-charcoal and is a good neutral that will work well with black, navy, and dark brown. I appreciate that it has a side zipper rather than a pull-on chelsea boot--so much easier to put on and take off.
The ball and the toe of the boot is too narrow and simply doesn't accommodate women's toes and feet. I wish shoe and boot companies would start making foot shaped shoes.
I am very picky about the comfort of my footwear and these feel great out of the box. Walked several miles in them in my neighborhood and was very comfortable.
