These boots were better than expected. Really made the pirate costume for my grandson. Better quality than expected and seem very durable.
I got these for my daughter who I thought was a size 1 and ordered up to be safe. Summer growth spurt and the L fit perfect. There is a tag on the bottom of the shoe that states US size 2/4.The back laces are purely decorative. There is a zipper that goes down the back of the boot almost to the sole. She had trouble getting her foot in unless the zipper was fully unzipped. I loosened the laces so the shoes so she can unzip the boots without having to tie or retie the laces. The boots can work without the laces as well.I got these for a play, but the quality is such that she will be able to wear them off the stage. The quality is similar if not slightly better than a lot of the kid's boots at big box stores. She could get many uses from them, but if she uses the toe to reduce speeds when on a swing or riding her bike, the top layer will rub off. Just as I expect from other boots she has.Very happy and would buy from this seller again.I wish the lister had a chart with the conversion from M, L, and, XL to traditional shoe size.

These were a perfect fit for my son’s pirate costume. He hates the felt boot covers that typically come with costumes and wanted “real pirate boots”. These were perfect.

My boys wore these all day without complaining once. They looked great, we got so many compliments. They did scuff up a bit after two-three full days of wear, but really, that's all we needed them for.
