Adorable, heavy duty, white rubber rain boots that fit well (plenty of room for a thick sock) and are nicely made with a thick, non-slip- sole and about a one inch heel. Bottom is excellent for slushy type days, rain and snow, and work well on ice -- just be cautious; they are NOT figure skates :) Pull on ease with elastic side inserts, and the ankle opening is just right for tucking pant legs inside. Comfortable to walk in with good arch support -- I have plantar fascitis, so this was a very welcome surprise. As for sizing, I wear a 6 1/2 wide width shoe. These boots only sell in full sizes, medium width. I tried both a 6 and a 7; ended up keeping the size 6 as boots were not far off from a wide width. So, when I say "somewhat large" I mean that in a good way!!
