Just enough space for a sock.Square toe provided room for toes and looks stylish yet classic. Fun shiny heel is at comfortable hight but looks elegant .Snaky leather draws attention and compliments. There is nothing not to like about these boots. They are well-made, comfortable, and oh so comfortable. The heel height is perfect for pants , dresses, or skirts. I went back and got the brown ones after purchasing the black ones. One of my top 5 purchases from Amazon.
