These are perfect. They give some height in a comfortable way with a lovely padded sole and arch support. The black is classy and I love the look with skinny jeans, leggings, or a dress. I’m impressed with the quality. That said you must wear thick enough socks so the back doesn’t rub against your Achilles’ tendon. The grip is great for slippery surfaces and this was a splurge for me and I’m glad I went for it.
It’s a nice looking boot. I previously had the Chelsea boot, and they were really great quality and more comfortable. I noticed that the heel on this boot is already fraying along that heel seam. I don’t think I’ve won them more than five times. The other ones I bought were much better quality. I had them for about 3 years, and I wore them all the time for to work ( and I stand and walk constantly.) unfortunately I can’t return these boots because they’re outside of the time frame because I waited until Fall to wear them. I don’t recommend you make that mistake.
I loved these shoes. I really did. I was trying to decide between these shoes and a different pair. After trying them on maybe 3 times (in my room, on carpeting) I noticed the the leather started to wrinkle on one of the boots. I returned them. Too bad, they were beautiful at first.
Got my normal size but couldn’t get my foot in them hardly at all. Had to return.
I wanted to love these boots, the reviews suggest it runs snug and the stock pictures also appear small in the ankle, but it was so loose. They remind me of kids trying on cowboy boots, where the heel keeps slipping with every step. Sizing down/bigger socks probably wouldn’t fix the problem because it is loose in the ankle, not the sole. They’re kind of like loose fitting rain boots I guess.
I bought mine from Marshalls but I haven't taken them off all winter. They are SO COMFY, fit great, look great with every outfit and I am obsessed with them. I just came to Amazon to get them in another color. I am surprised by the reviews because I truly love them. I have a narrow foot, size 9.5 and these fit true to size and are very cozy. Maybe if you have a wide food these would feel too snug.
I bought 3 pairs of boots for a trip to Scotland. I didn’t want to love these because they were the most expensive. However, they are the MOST comfortable boots ever. They look cute w leggings, jeans, nicer tailored pants, everything. I wore them to walk 8 miles around the city the first day and I had no blisters or pain. Nice arch support. Soft, well constructed leather.Highly recommend!
I looked for Chelsea boots for easy on off. These fit the bill. They are slightly larger than my street shoe size but it’s good because I wear socks with boots. The shaft is on the long side, not ankle length. The heel height is also slightly higher than my liking. They are pretty comfortable right out of box. I am not sure if they keep water and cold out but for style, these are not shabby.
