I wore these boots for the first time this week during the polar vortex. It was below zero and blowing snow in the morning when I had to go do some work outside. I wore one pair of wool socks and these boots and my toes never got cold. They were also very comfortable and kept me from sliding on ice/snow.
Bought these boots for work. I'm inside and outside of the building. I was worried they wouldn't be comfortable. I typically walk 5-10 miles a day. I find that they are very comfortable. No foot pain what so ever. I will probably add arch supports just for further comfort and support for my feet. But they don't need them. Great boot!
I have purchased so many Keens through the years and I love them. There was something odd though about this pair. I always purchase women's size 8 Keens. This pair looked like I was wearing Bozo shoes. The normal Keen roomy toe box was bulbous. I even caught my foot two times getting into my truck because of the extra length and width. Very strange. I returned them and ended up going with a different brand.I will continue to look at, and hopefully purchase, Keens in the future.
I like the color of the tortoise shell leather and while I'd rather have all leather, the red plaid looks great too. I was very happy to see these have a pull-on loop on the back. I have a pair of black Kaci 2 winter boots that I love, but sadly, they do not have a loop and can be a little difficult to put on. I believe my foot size is actually 7.5 wide, but as always, I order my Keens in 8.5 (KEEN Voyageurs are my favorite when it isn't winter!) and wear them with LLBean Cresta midweight wool socks. As I write this, I'm sitting at home wearing the new boots and trying to decide whether to keep or send them back. It's about 85% keep right now. They are nice and warm and I have plenty of foot room. My main concern is that the top edges with the lacing hooks are digging into my ankles (especially the inside left) more than I would like. I wish there was a little more padding there. I can feel some amount of pressure on my right little toe and down the top right side of my foot also. I have wide, puffy feet and slight hammer toes; I'm pudgy and a type 2 diabetic. I'd prefer my feet to be shod in a fluffy cloud (yet warm, breathable, lightweight, and with good traction!) if possible. I don't think any footwear are going to be perfect for me, but IMO KEENs come as close as I'm likely to find.
These are my favorite boots. They fit well and are warm
Love these Keen boots! They fit wonderfully, especially since they have a wide toe box, which allows for the toes not to be crammed and pinched together.
I bought these shoes a year ago & only wore them in the winter months (about months). I was pulling the laces to tighten them before I tied the shoe & the lace holder pulled out of the boot. I buy the Keen brand because I think they're good quality. Well, not in this case.
I LOVE Keen shoes. I always have at least two pair in my closet. My old pair of Keen winter boots no longer fit due to pregnancy. That pair were always warm and dry. So I saw this boot and ordered it without hesitation. I live in the Midwest and they arrived right after the blizzard here, in time for the cold snap and next winter storm. I put a pair of Little Hotties toe warmers in the toe box, slipped on wool socks, strapped the boots on my feet, and trudged outside in the -15° F temps (windchills -45° F) to shovel the driveway. My toes were numb in less than 10 minutes. This never happened with my other Keen boots. I’m not sure what the difference is, but these suck. My feet were dry, but definitely not warm. I’m so disappointed.
