Why was I waiting so long to pull the trigger on these? Absolutely love them. Former city girl who lives in the mountains these days. I needed something warm for winter when I'm walking my dog or doing chores around the yard. These are incredibly warm, ridiculously comfortable, and have a super grippy sole that perfect for slippery leaves, snow and ice. So super functional...but without compromising style. I hate paying good money for ugly things:-) Bonus benefit: awesome for keeping my feet warm during socially distanced drinks outside. We have an outside fire pit where we hang with friends. The fire would keep me warm, except the feet...enter the Artic Ice Mucks. Did I say I love the look too? I'm truly in love. Btw: get a size smaller. I'm normally a size 9.5/10. Got these in 9 and can where them with thick socks. The foam molds to your feet without being too snug.
I have extremely wide, short feet (the only athletic sneaker I find comfortable is the Altra brand with extremely wide toe boxes) and as a result, I've had a heck of a time finding comfortable boots - especially for winter. Since we have livestock that I need to attend to daily, the idea of a chore boot that could also double as a quality snow boot for our long western winters was appealing. I was a little worried that these didn't come in half sizes, but found that the 8 was perfect for me with regular socks (I wear an 8.5 in Altra sneakers). The width is excellent, and the top of the boot pulls in at the top naturally to keep snow out of the tops of them. That feeling takes a bit to get used to, but I'm sure I'll appreciate it when it's time to shovel snow this year. They're extremely warm - I have no need to wear anything other than a thin sock with these boots, and relatively light for what they are.
Bought these for my wife and she loves them. I have the men’s version as well. They’re warm, easy on and off (nice if you’re in and out of the house a lot which we are) and the traction is great. Are they stylish boots? I think so...at least around here they are the local fashion trend. We have feet of snow prefaced and punctuated by lots and lots of mud so these are the only style of boot that really makes sense. They’re comfortable even on long hikes. We wear them for hunting, snowshoeing, chores, etc. Time will tell on the durability...I’ll update my review if there’s and issue but I expect they will last a long time. Friends and family that have these boots have had no issues. So far these have been worth the higher price tag.
I really like these boots. I like how I can just slip them on and go. They’re very light weight. Makes it easier to walk in the snow. They keep my feet warm, nice & dry as they should. It’s a great boot for comfort. I have big calves so they are a bit snug, but that’s fine. I recommend these.
Best boots I’ve ever worn!! Heavy duty quality yet light and comfortable to wear/ water resistant and warm for miserable Michigan winters!!! / Tread is fantastic in winter weather as well—LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
I ordered these to replace my old, very beat up muck boots that I've had for three years. I wanted to get the shorter, mid length ones this time instead of the long ones that go up to the knee like my old ones. I also needed something warmer for the winter. These fit great. I am a size 7 in everything and these fit wonderfully and break in to a perfect fit after a couple good work sessions in them. I wear a medium thickness sock with them, but could fit a heavier sock if needed. They are definitely warmer than my previous muck boots (which were the "regular" muck boot with the thinner bottom). I wouldn't say these are the warmest pair of boots I own, but I can be outside in 20 degree temps and my feet stay warm while working.I like the bottom grip and tread on these. My old mucks had that thin bottom tread that was actually TERRIBLY SLIPPERY in muck or in snow. These have a heavy duty tread that doesn't slip.So far, they are waterproof. Its only been a week, so only time will tell, but they are 100% waterproof when submerged up to where the rubber meets the neoprene.Differences in these mid boots vs. the high boot:What I love the most is that I can just slip my feet in and out of them without using my hands. With the tall boot, I'd need both hands to pull them on, and at least one hand to pull them off.A bit of a drawback is that things more easily get in this mid boot, like wood shavings and hay, whereas nothing got in through the top of the high muck boots.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
This is my 3rd pair of mucks in 10+ years. The quality amazing size is true & durability is made to last years. I love being able to go out In below 0 weather in maine prepared & know my feet won’t get cold or wet. I can add a extra pair of sock for ice fishing if need b but most of the time it’s not a necessity. The only thing that I can say bad is my last pair didn’t last as long as my first. They cracked & had holes within a year in creases. When spend this kind of $$ on boots I’d expect a couple years of wear. I don’t work on salt water I’m a PSS so they need to last. Hopefully these new ones will or I won’t b buying anymore mucks. My entire family wear mucks so they must b doing something right in the end. Maine weather isn’t can b extreme & it’s nice to know with muck boots ur good year round. Ty amazon!!
I got these boots for my wife, she always says her feet get cold and felt wet in other boots. These boots have kept her feet dry feeling and warm in the water, mud, and snow. This is a brand I would recommend to anyone.
