Honestly, I didn't realize until after purchasing that these boots were vegan leather. I don't know how I missed it the first 4 times I read the listing but I did. I'm not a fan of the faux. I decided I would just send them back. When they came I thought, what the heck, they are so handsome in the listing I will give them a chance. Well, I will tell you the boots are even more gorgeous in front of you. They look like patent leather. I tried them on and noticed my weight wasn't pushing on the ball of my foot, (as with the case of any shoe where the heel is higher than the toe. I notice this as I have pinched nerves in both my feet and cannot wear shoes where the heel is too much higher than the toe). I felt almost flat on my feet. I felt stable as the boots aren't tippy/wobbly. So, my point is that I am so impressed with the boots I've decided to keep them. AAAAAAAAAA++++++++
