We are big fans of Pediped. This pair of boots is no exception to their craftsmanship. The boot is warm, we wore it the whole winter and yet, they look like new. No wear and tear, boot was never wet even though our son loves to get in the snow. Keep it up, Pediped!
These are Pedipeds however are not made up to there same standard of pedipeds. First off, the bottoms a probably not leather. I dont know that for a fact, but they are different than my other pedipeds soles. The upper part however is leather. Bottom line these are nice only if you can get them at a "good deal".
The original Henry boots have better fur inside and down the middle. Sadly these don't. Not sure if they changed the style but my friend had them in brown with soft fur and they hard to find now, especially in blue. I think I would prefer them better. But all in all, they are cute and the velcrow is always a plus. Inside has semi soft fluffy, but nothing to make them look as great as the other Henry pedi boots. I guess I will keep, really just to lazy to return, my last amazon return was hectic.
My daughter wore these in size 12-18 months 3-4 times per week from 11 months to 16 months, during the winter. We only stopped wearing them because it has turned warmer, but they have held up very well. She had been walking for about 2 months when she started wearing them and had no problems with slipping (as some of the other reviews mentioned), and she was on hardwoods/tile most of the time. A couple comments related to the construction of the shoe: the leather Velcro strap is a little long and can stretch some with use. In order to keep them tight around her ankle, we had to latch the Velcro hooks very near the end of the fuzzy Velcro area. My daughters ankles are kinda petite though. Also, the soles are, in fact, leather, just the same as all pediped originals shoes. Not the leather like Robeez shoes have, but a more durable, coated leather, which is still flexible, but also weather resistant, for when my daughter was on damp ground/grass, etc. She could never stand on wet grass in typical Robeez shoes, as her feet would get wet. Received tons on compliments on them. Would purchase again.
The pair of shoes I received did not have the leathersole as desribed.I wanted a high quality shoe for my little one, who just starts walking. Since letting her walk with bare feet is not an option with the approaching winter I ordered these shoes, hoping the indicated leather sole would be almost like wearing no shoes at all.Unfortunately the sole is made of plastic, although it has written "leathersole" all over it. (I'll try to upload a picture)So the shoes are not as described nor as shown in the picture.I'm sending them back!I doubt that the shoes I received were original pediped shoes.
I bought a second pair of these after losing one of the first pair. The first pair had more rubbery soles and the second more leathery. Not sure why since I thought they were the same product. My son transitioned to walking with these and ended up wearing a hole in the leather soles in a couple months. Otherwise, I love these boots. They are easy to put on. They might be a little too easy to take off since my son could get them off and throw them out of the stroller though. They were great for winter with the warm lining. And they're super cute! We got compliments all the time on them. I would buy again but with the more rubbery sole for new walkers.
One of the only boots that comes close to staying on my babies foot (thought he can still eventually kick everything off). Because the shaft is a little higher and has an adjustable buckle, it helps to stay in place. I love that they are soft so they aren't clunky and get in the way when he is trying to crawl or learning to stand. great for early walkers. However the bottom does not have a lot of traction.
My toddler wears these around the house (hardwood floors) and sometimes outside. She loves them! The sole is flexible, the fuzzy lining is thick, and the shoe is easy to put on and will stay on even despite my baby's best efforts to take them off.
