Propet was founded on the belief that everyone deserves comfortable shoes that fit well. They recognized that the standard one-width sizing system often left people with ill-fitting footwear.
Propet takes pride in offering a wide range of sizes and widths to ensure a perfect fit for every foot. Their in-house design team, with over 40 years of combined experience, creates stylish and comfortable shoes tailored to your needs.
Normally, I take a 10 wide. I can’t remember why, but I ordered these in an extra wide, and boy am I glad I did. I think a regular 10 wide would have been too tight. They fit really well, but note that across the top of your foot, up near your ankle, they tend to get smaller, almost like there’s a band across there, but there was enough room for my toes. There are two zippers on each boot, which I didn’t realize! One on both sides of the boot. They will be good for snowy weather.
Be prepared to go up at least TWO sizes. And wide width is just regular width. Disappointed!
This boot is waterproofed to the max and warm . I was shocked at the low price because the quality is nice.
Propet used to be my fave snow boot because their extra wide fit so well. Mine needed replacement and the boots I usually get were no longer available anywhere so I decided to try this one. It was a struggle to put them on and I almost needed help getting them off. The tag says extra wide but it fits like a regular width. Also, the calf fit is tight which means pants couldn't be tucked into the boot. I don't like the double zippers either. Nothing good about these boots. I bought boots from OrthoFeet instead.
These boots would've been absolutely perfect for my needs, and they were discounted at the time of my purchase, so I'm extraordinarily disappointed that they are not wide enough. I have a pair of shoes by this same brand, and my feet swim in their wideness. The extra-wide 9.5 of the shoes are really too wide. These boots are a size 10 extra-wide (and yes I made sure and compared what the labels to make sure they were both extra-wide) and they are not anywhere near as wide. It's crazy, the difference! I had to return the boots because my bunions actually rubbed against the inside, which isn't normal with extra-wide. Since they are a firm rubber in the foot, I didn't expect them to stretch through time. Besides all this, I could only return them and not do an exchange--which would've been great since a double extra-wide was available. Talk about BS. If I purchased these at the store, I could've just gotten the next size up at the same time. As it is, I have to pay literally double for the same boot now . . . which I'm not doing. Ridiculous all around.
Run smaller than the usual Propet shoe size.Purchased September 2023 at $31.60, they are 5-stars at that price and I would purchase them again (but a half size larger). The quality, etc. seems fine & up to Propet standards, but they aren't worth a whole lot more than $35 even during the cold season. depending on price, above $35 they would be a 3- or 4-star item. These aren't work boots, dress boots, or ski boots. They are utilitarian, as in dog walking or to keep in the car in case you have no choice but to get out and walk.I recently purchased a pair of Propet's 6.5-XX semi-dress shoes with (hopefully) ice-defying soles and they fit perfectly with extra heavy winter socks (they were listed as "Run Large") That is why I thought I was safe buying a 7-XX. (Normally, with a combination of duck feet and an old injury I usually need a Propet-brand 6 or 6.5 4-E.)These boots. Not even close to a 7-XX these Run Small to Very Small. There will be no heavy socks — nor any socks — in them. They're fuzzy inside so that will be greatly appreciated.I am keeping them, their intended purpose is to sit at the door and wait until one of the dogs needs to go out in the middle of the night despite having several inches of fresh unblemished snow.Would someone please help out our elderly besties and invent a large breed doggy litterbox???Asking for a friend.
These boots were ordered to fit my wide feet and calves. They fit just fine, however, right at the ankle they are a bit snug. I think they'll be OK and hopefully stretch out a bit with wear. My challenge still lies with delivery. The drivers don't want to come down into the apartment complex when I have specifically asked for my deliveries to be left at my door. So then I don't know if my items have been delivered or not. I am somewhat disabled and have trouble getting out in bad weather, so each time I venture out is a challenge. If the drivers would think about the folks they deliver to, it would be very helpful. I finally just got my boots yesterday when an office administrative member was nice enough to find the package and bring them to me.
The width is a little small, so had to go up one X to fit right. Keeps my feet dry, nice and warm in the cold while looking stylish.
