This is my second pair of Rockport's HYDROSHIELD boots, and I can't say enough good things about them. The first pair were suede and twice as expensive and were so useful that I wore them for years longer than I probably should have. Rockport isn't a "sexy" brand but these boots are a fantastic value as most decent waterproof boots cost at least 3x more. I really like the look of them and use them as my everyday boots throughout the fall and winter unless there is deep snow on the ground or I need a dressier pair of boots. They go with skirts and pants, perform well and are durable throughout New England winters. Unlike my first pair, this model is lined, so the fit is a little snug. I ordered my regular size in a Wide-the first wide shoes I have ever had-and they fit perfectly.
These were an actual wide width. I would've kept them if they weren't already broken in with scuffs and break across the bridge.
I specifically bought these last minute for my trip where I will be doing a lot of city walking. I bought a size up and they are perfect with a pair of socks. The ankle part is not too stiff bc there is a substantial section that is made of stretchy material. I also really, really like the heel height - perfect for trekking all day then wearing it with nice clothes for dinner out. Love these and highly recommend them, and got them on sale for $140, and consider that money well spent.
I bought these when they were $42, now they're $103 so I'm counting myself lucky. They're very cute! I felt like they were a bit big at first and it looked very similar to the picture of the woman with her small foot next to a big shoe, but with it actually on, my toe is only about a half inch from the shoe's toe so they actually fit perfectly. I wear them with thick socks since I'm typically wearing them if it's cold out. They feel well made and sturdy. I'm hoping they break in to have a comfier sole but overall, great purchase (for $42 at least)Edit: I’ve been wearing these for a couple months now and they’re my favorite boots. I honestly can’t believe I got them for such a good deal because they’re worth the high price tag they’re currently listed with. I also love the green, I specifically sought out this style in a deep green and they are perfect. Additionally they’re comfortable and waterproof. They make that squeaky sound on certain floors. That’s literally the only con I can think of about them and who really cares about that.
These are very cute, comfortable once you get them on (a bit tight to get on every time they take some work), great treads for ice and snow, waterproof, and can wear all day,...BUT had blisters on top of each little toe after 2 hours of actual hiking, and a sore on the bottom of my foot that felt like a stick in there until I took it off and realized it was the built-in raised comfort insole arch. Show shoe and shopping only, not an outdoor boot.
I love the sheep-like lining of these boots. My feet aren’t particularly wide, but the “wide” style in my regular size fits nicely, with room for thick socks. I could have probably gone half a size down, as the sole is significantly longer than my other Rockport boots of the same listed size. But the lining is partly what makes this boot bigger, I think.
Great fit, precisely what you expect from rockport. Got these ahead of a trip to NYC, and spent 5 days walking in them. Scuffs just rub off, got a splash of dirty city water, spare toothbrush and bar soap and just like new. Awesome boots that do what they promise!
