The heel should be slightly bigger, 1/8 of an inch even, which would maintain the sleek style but give better stability.

The Rockport Women’s bootie is a beautiful, well made shoe. The leather is soft and stunning. The craftsmanship is apparent. The gold zipper on the side adds distinction and it is also high quality. They are comfortable and have some traction for the coming winter weather. They are stylish and I will wear them regularly with skirts and slacks. I usually wear a size 8-8.5 and I’m glad I got the 9. They fit just right.
I bought the wide width and it felt way to snug. I couldn't imagine what the regular width is like. Too bad because they're super cute.
Amazing shoes, the leather is like butter. The heel is the perfect size. Great for everyday or dressy wear. I love them. They are so pretty, and some of the best shoes that I've ever bought/owned. The quality is definitely there, and you will not be disappointed with these. I can not say enough good things about these boots. Amazing quality.
I love these boots. The quality is very good. The soles have special traction control which make them great for icy and slippery conditions. There is a small gold zipper on the sides. I wore these on a trip to the city and they were comfortable for walking. I would recommend wearing a longer sock with them, since they can rub your ankles a little raw otherwise. For reference, I ordered a 7.5 and it fits true to size.
