First let me start by saying that these boots are super cute and definitely served their purpose for Santa pics.However, after one fall on concrete the shoes are already scuffed, like the fake leather is peeling off it. When I ordered these boots, I ordered two different Carters pairs. The first pair I received already had the pleather peeling, so unfortunately it looks like someone wore them and then sent them back. I returned them and said they were defective because of this. So my opinion is clearly that something is wrong with the coating on the boots.We will still use the boots as every day wear now so they will still be useful. But if you're one of those people who don't want you kids in messed up shoes/boots, these aren't for you.
