Sorel Women's Leather and Felt Boots, Brown Camel Brown, 6

I bought these as a gift for my wife, who has fallen in love with them. I did need to send back the first pair, because they were a little small. Just a little bit, especially with a heavy pair of socks. So we got a half-size larger than her usual shoe size, and they are now perfectly perfect. Warm. Dry. Comfy. The other day, we went for a three-mile walk in the new snow, and these boots were fabulous. She wore them at the office yesterday for the whole day, and they were extremely comfortable. The color, by the way, is delightful. Great boots for the wintertime. Strongly recommend.

Like the style a lot. One thing I have noticed with several of my Sorel boots is that the crown (if I am labeling it correctly) is too short in relation to the collar. This probably makes the boots easier to put on and take off - but it feels awkward when you walk because there is a lot of space between the front of your shin and the crown of the boot for your foot to move around in... it’s hard to explain but I have this same problem with two other Sorel boots - and I do NOT have skinny calves. The flat part of the boot (over the top of your foot) needs to continue for another two inches - before becoming the shaft of the boot (against your calf).It doesn’t seem as bad on this pair as some of my others... but it is still an issue. I love the way they look and they are comfortable. They run small. I am a 10.5 and I ordered an 11. Snug but they will work.Overall I am happy with them out of the box - have not worn them anywhere yet.

I ordered the suede ones, and thanks to a friend I knew to get a whole size larger than usual. These boots are awesome, they are very warm, waterproof, and very comfortable for walking the dog in snow and ice. I’ve worn them almost daily for several weeks now, and it got as cold as -4° C here. I can go through 5-8” high snow, and not once have my feet gotten cold or wet. Well worth the investment. They also look fairly fashionable, are not heavy or bulky at all, no don’t seem to slip on ice.

I love my Sorel boots! I have another pair in a slightly different style that I've worn for a couple years. Sorel is so worth the money (and I do not typically spend a lot of money on shoes). These boots are amazingly warm and comfortable. Not heavy or clunky. (I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable for me...mainly the way they feel on the soles of my feet. Can't wear most shoes that normal people find to be just fine and even comfy!) I can wear my Sorels all day. I can even wear them in the rain and my socks/feet stay dry!I wanted to share that like other reviewers said, this style does run small! I am typically a 5.5. Every once in a while a 6. I ordered the 6 and it was too short. Had to get a 6.5. I have an average width foot and the width on these is good for me.

I ordered a size 9, but received a 10 which turned out to be a happy accident! Normally I wear a size 8.5 in athletic shoes and size 8 in open-toed shoes or sandals. I have high arches, a narrow heel and slightly wide forefoot. Size 8.5 Brooks (picturedhere in my review with the Sorrel boot) fit me PERFECTLY with regular socks. These size 10 boots are only slightly larger than my 8.5 shoe and fit me very comfortably with moderately thick wool socks. Very well made, soft, warm, SUPPORTIVE, and stylish! I'll be in the snow within a couple weeks, so I'll update my review then to note how it holds up in snow and ice.**UPDATE**I've been out in the rain and snow several times now, and my feet stay completely warm and dry. No notable staining on the leather. Definitely a keeper.

I read many reviews before I bought these boots. I bought these during a sale in Feb 2020. Here is my take on what a lot of people have said:1) Size: I am normally a size 7-7.5. based on the reviews I bought an 8, I am very glad that I did. It fits great. So, size up!2) Material: several people talked about how they thought the material was very flimsy. So, the material on these boots is not the same stiff leather that is present on Sorel's more classic style of boot. I am sure glad it isn't. It is soft and pliable. But I would not call it flimsy. It is real leather and wool. Very good quality, and perfect for when you are tying and untying the boots3) Warmth: People who say these boots aren't warm, I have no idea what they are doing. My feet were honestly almost sweating wearing them on a sunny (but cold) day. Plenty warm. And I am a very cold person. My feet are almost always cold.

This is the 2nd time I purchased these. The first pair lasted well over 5 years. I was so excited to buy these again and find they fit perfectly. Very supportive and beautiful boot!

I waited a bit to write this review as I wanted a chance to really try them out first. The downside was that I needed 1.5 sizes up from what I typically wear. I consistently wear an 8.5 unless I size up in boots to wear thick socks. I ordered both a 9 and 9.5 after reading the reviews just to be safe. Even the 9.5 was too small! I need a 10 which I have never worn in my life. That said, these are AMAZING!!! I’ve sat through multiple soccer practices and games in mid-30s temps and my feet have stayed warm for the first year ever. Keep in mind, this is sitting still, not walking around - every year my feet FREEZE. I wore my Sorel snow boots for a bit, but these are just so comfortable for walking around in. I now wear them all the time and get a ton of compliments on them. They’re fantastic boots once you find the right size!
