These are pretty boots that have a suede feel. I got the light colored. They were pretty tight when I first put them on. I considered sending them back but decided to see if they’d stretch a little. After wearing for a couple of hours they fitted to my feet and are perfect. Comfortable too
I fell in love with this brand several years ago after suffering with plantar fasciitis in both feet at the same time after my son was born. Consequently, ALL of my shoes for work/office and some of my sandals are now White Mountain. I have successfully recovered from plantar fasciitis and keep it healed by wearing a heel and arch supports like this style. I no longer wear any inserts for heel cushion or arch support, it is not needed with White Mountain products. I literally take them out of the box and wear them, it takes about 1-2 days of full wear to break in a pair of heels. I wear chunky heels everyday (weak ankles do better in more substantial heel) that I am in the office and these boots are so comfortable I often forget I am wearing heels. I love the thicker more rugged sole, they wear longer and better than the thinner soled White Mountain styles. I have now bought these boots in multiple styles AND colors. I have black smooth, navy suede, tan suede, and black smooth with chain accent, and the new black suede-ish with strap and buckle that is dressier. I am about to have the plastic cap replaced on one pair of black smooth because after 1+ year of wearing 3+ days a week the little plastic piece that serves as the sole of the heel is wearing away and thin, but the boots still look almost brand new. The sizing of White Mountain is perfect every time. I know I can order my size in any style and it will fit with same level of comfort every single time. I use their size charts when buying any other shoes, ie athletic shoes, flip flops, etc. to compare shoe lengths and ensure that any other brand sizing is bought with the same measurements.
Runs smaller than expected and cannot wear them
I like White Mountain boots and these are no exception. Though the heels are high, because it's a boot there's no dreaded foot slip and attendant toe crush. I usually order 7 1/2, but these 8's work fine with thicker socks.
They fit as expected. They also look great with jeans and a nice top
Very stylish shoes
I love these boots so much! I bought my first pair from Macy's but just had to hunt down another pair in this color. I also own this style in black. I wear them to work and they aren't unbearable for all day wear.
