I love these boots. They are so lightweight, comfortable and stylish. Easy to slip on/off without tying. Keep my feet warm in snow. Kamik is a fantastic brand and makes superior quality products. I have several Kamik boots, and my kids have been wearing only Kamik boots since they could walk. The best, quality and value.
I am quite honestly in love with these boots. Plain and simple. For one, they're gorgeous, stylish, waterproof, warm, etc. The fit is amazing and I feel like I have a bit of a spring in my step now rather than clunking around in my duck boots. I think they are a bit snug due to the fur lined boot (plus I wear thick socks when I'm out hiking) But overall, they are quite literally the most perfect pair of boots I've ever purchased.I am a nature/wildlife photographer, and the brutal winters of the north have kept me from going out on a shoot on more than one occasion. I have tried waterproof boots, snow boots, duck boots, etc but my feet are always cold no matter what, and when the temperatures are in the teens, not even 2 pairs of socks would keep my feet warm. But not anymore! Ever since purchasing these boots, I have gone out every single day, even gone on hikes that have lasted hours in 5 inch deep snow and my feet NEVER got cold, which quite honestly for me was insane! No cold or wet feet for me anymore - these are pure perfection and I am never EVER buying another pair or straying from this brand again.Seriously, buy these. Right now.
I am so pleased with these boots. I was also looking at the North Face boots that are similar in style and price. I have struggled with plantar fasciitis and a bone spur on my heel. I chose the Kamik over the North Face for the heel. I expect to be walking around town and on trails and decided the heel would be best. I have just received the boots and have already walked out with the dogs. I wear an 11 and my feet are a bit wide (i wear an 11 wide in new balance). I ordered an 11and the size is perfect. I will have room to add one more sock layer if i choose. The Kamik insoles are easily removable. I have inserted my vionic orthotic instead and it fits perfectly. It will give me the arch support and heel cushion that i need.I really like the fit and ease of tying them. They have small D rings rather than eyehooks. The D rings rotate and are a huge design plus. Plenty of calf room to wear your pants tucked in.Planning to get years of use here in Troy, Ohio!PS,another review stated that the leather loop,in the back of the calf, broke when pulling on their boot. This leather is very thick and fully integrated into the boot. I dont know how in the world they ripped it!
Just got these delivered today. I live in California and will be traveling next week to Ohio in 23 F weather. I purchased these after reviewing several reviews for different boots on different sites. I compared the quality, price, thermoregulation, and style between the North Face Shellista II Mid boot, Sorel Joan of Arctic boot, and Kamik Sienna2 boot. I liked the style of all three. I choose Kamik because the other two had mixed reviews about keeping warmth. My feet get cold easily and I did not want to deal with any coldness.Out of the box, the quality is superb. The entire shoe inside is lined with 3M Thinsulate and is rated to keep warm down to -4 C. They are also waterproof. When I first tried them on I used a thin pair of socks and they fit perfectly. I purchased my true size, size 5. I tried them with a thicker pair and felt a bit of tightness around the top of my foot and arch, nothing too uncomfortable. It seems like the insulate may get compressed over time or stretch out as another reviewer has mentioned. They do keep feet warm! They are flexible and surprisingly light.I will try these out next week and provide an update to this review.
First, love the look of the boot. Has a little style, and they are fairly light weight. I have big Sorel winter boots to, and these are definitely a lighter boot. Love the slight heel, adds style. But... if you are somewhere brutal cold, like I am in northern Minnesota, these will not keep your feet warm if outside. There's not much sole padding in it, which leads to the cold coming from the sole of the boot. I do wear thick socks, but down to 0° F is fine if moving around, anything below... I'll stick to my bigger boots.
These boots are comfortable and very warm. I live in New England, and I've worn these in below freezing temps for over an hour while shovelling snow and didn't get cold at all, wearing lightweight wool socks. I have large calves and these were comfortable. I love the long laces and the very good tread. I had no issue walking (carefully) down icy steps. I first heard of Kamiks when shopping for my kids' boots a few years ago. They loved theirs, and the boots are rated for below zero temps. I was sick of having cold feet in all the cutesy boots. I use tomlvoe Sorrels but their quality had gone so far downhill from ten years ago. These are real winter boots for people who actually have below zero temps that they need to go out in for extended periods of time. They are also comfortable for wearing for extended periods of time, and they don't feel super heavy considering how heavy duty they are. I've walked through some shallow icy puddles, no problem. I will be buying this brand again. These have never gotten wet on me. Love them
This is a California native sharing her review on these boots. I originally had Sorel Snow boots and wore those for one Midwest winter. My toes were frozen. They were bulky. Not a success. I needed warm functional boots for harsh Midwest winters. Stumbled across these and read the reviews. Ordered a 7. I’m a 7 1/2. They fit perfect, even with thick socks you can adjust the laces to be a little bit loose. My toes are warm and cozy, they are stylish (the Duchess has a pair), and very well made!
