I cannot say enough good things about these sandles. With me having severe pain from heel spurs my podiatrist suggested Birkenstock. I can walk pain free! I'm sold and will definitely be getting another pair.

Hard to find in style and color! Glad I found these!
They take a bit of time to wear in, which is the only reason I didn't give them a 5. But they are quite comfortable, mold to your feet, and give more support than flip-flops. Also, I live in New York City, and my feet get really dirty when I wear flip-flops, but because these come up a bit around your foot, that doesn't happen.

I've worn out at least four pairs of Madrids and was so happy to find these in my size. It's hard to find 36R since most Birkenstocks are Narrow and it is hard to find Madrids. I'll keep buying them as long as Birkenstock keeps making them - they are comfortable right out of the box.
Authentic Birkenstock sandals. :) sizing though needs to be updated. A BIRKENSTOCK size 43 is equivalent to 12-12.5 US.
I always wear a 39 in this style, but the leather on this pair arrived already very stretched out, so that if I can wear them all, I'll have to have a shoe repairer add extra holes across the top for the buckle. Even then, I suspect they'll be uncomfortable because the part going through the buckle will be too long.
