Love these. I was thinking there would be more fleece to burry my feet into, but it's more of a cushy layer than a bed. Very comfortable. They still have the same soul with the same support as any other birk but this one is fuzzy. And it is real fleece so it doesn't make your feet sweat-should actually be moisture wicking.
Fit is true to size. Thankfully not as stuff as I had anticipated.
Prettier than picture. They are a shiny metallic color, but it is a subdued shine and color that matches with everything and looks stylish. My teenage daughter loves them. If you have never worn Birkenstocks, then you have to ease your foot into them by just wearing them around the house for an hour or so a day until your feet adapt. Otherwise, your feet will ache and you will hate them. The footbed on these shoes are orthopaedically correct so you can have healthy feet. These are excellent if you are prone to bunions because it puts your foot into a correct position and thereby minimizes the growth of bunions. However, the footbed is hard, so if you have heel spurs or something that causes pain with pressure, then these aren't for you.
These are great for summer or anytime, very comfy and good quality.
If you expect them to look like the brown pictured forget about it. I bought these to match a purse that does look like the pic and they either sent me black instead of brown or their brown is the darkest brown I have every seen with no variation in color whatsoever. I'd order the brown again but am afraid I'd just get another pair that aren't brown. I've only worn them a few times and notice people staring at them in admiration. Practically, awe. These are my first pair of classic Birkenstocks. I normally wear Danskos. Be aware that Birkenstocks run larger than Danskos. Order down a size. I purchased two pairs in my normal Dansko size and both were too big. These I ordered down a size and fit perfectly. Just a word about comfort: These are a hard leather and if you've sensitive feet, the straps may be too stiff. I do have sensitive feet and some nerve damage in the front ankle area. Hoping they soften up bc though I like them and the support most of all, I find the straps not to be exactly comfy.
I am a huge fan of Birks and this pair is no exception. I LOVE the big buckle and the black footbed is perfect!!! These are great with jeans, leggings or dressier slacks. Very pleased with purchase!
too shiny thought they were brown matt not shiny
It is rather a strange color for me to wear...kind of bright and shiny. But they price was good on them and I thought I would just be wearing them around the house. I have worn them out in public and have gotten lots of compliments on the color. Birkenstocks are the absolute best footwear.
