I was looking for a warm weather casual shoe that wasn’t a sandal. I had never seen this style before, but you can’t go wrong with Clark’s so I gave them a try. They are slightly wide in the heel, but not enough to affect the fit or walking comfort. I am very pleased.
Comfortable
This is a nice looking shoe and other than one design flaw, it is well made. The flaw is that the shoe's heel strap is threaded through a leather loop that is sewn to the interior of the shoe, leaving a 1/8" piece of "open" leather at the top of the heel kto rub against your heel. This rubbing causes your heel to be raw and blistered. After about 90 miles of walking (literally), the ankle area has been broken in enough to wear with socks. I tried wearing the shoe (after the 90 miles) with no socks and my heels were still worn raw.

Good quality, as expected, fits well yet the straps are a bit tight at the front.
I own several Clarks shoes and this is the first time I have purchased one and regretted it completely.It's a pretty shoe, but there is a huge design flaw. The back of the shoe's strap is rough and hard and rubs against the back of the heel making the skin blister. I wore it for 10 mins and both of my feet are raw and bruised.This might not happen with socks but I don't think I will give it another try anytime soon.
