Just received these shoes today and when I opened the box it about took my breath away. Bad odor. They look new, so not sure what the odor is. The only thing leather on these is the heel area. Otherwise, the cloth like fabric makes them look like slippers. Not much support and they seem very flimsy. I have bought many Ecco shoes and these are the only ones that look like they are not made well.
I have real arch problems (high). While these are not the usual $200 version, they are good for general comfort and 4/5 hour wear.
I bought these shoes in black at the Ecco store in Dresden, Germany while on vacation - I had blisters and sore feet due to a lot of walking and my own normally comfortable shoes were making my feet worse. These are extremely comfortable, made out of a slightly stretchy fabric, and fit perfectly from the first wearing. Most important, they solved the problems with my feet and I wore them everyday for the rest of the my trip. Just ordered a pair in the other colors (ombre [dark blue] and gravel) from Amazon. Be careful about the size: I wear a US size 8 and the EU 38 (US 7/7.5) was a perfect fit even with light weight socks; 39 (8/8.5) was too large.
