The neo form is the perfect lyrical, modern or jazz dance shoe. Made from neoprene, a nylon/spandex blend, the shoe forms to the foot creating a sleek, clean line. The elasticized binding wraps around the metatarsals to allow ease of movement with a secure fit. A 5 hole feature assists in the perfect balance of weight distribution of the body. Inner memory foam lining allows shock absorption to protect the ball of the foot. Founded in Sydney, in 1932 by Jacob Bloch, Bloch is a pioneer in the technical dance market. I wear these for belly dance and couldn't be happier with them as a replacement for my old pair. Comfy, stay put, and protect my feet!
Update: I needed a smaller size! I danced on these for a few weeks and they were scrunching up and not staying in place. I had them in a medium and it was clear I needed a small. I am a women's size 7.5 regular width. The small fit perfect!!!These spin great, of course, and the large pad on the bottom is very comfortable. The toe openings are a little bit big and the product is a little loose (wide), but it doesn't come off or move. It stays put and that is what is important. I am a street size 7.5 M. I can't compare what the smaller size might feel like, but these are just fine.
I’m returning this and looking for another brand. I first ordered the try before you buy Bloch Neoform, in M and L (beige). They weren’t due to arrive for 4-6 weeks, so I purchased a “L-Medium” (whatever that means) in black. Ironically, the beige try before you buy arrived days before the black purchased one. I was excited, only both M and L were too big.The size chart near the photos and description does not match shoe size to the Bloch Neoform product, in order to most accurately purchase the best fit. There is a size chart on the back of the package that is oddly not included in the product photos. I later saw a customer uploaded a photo of it. Thanks!I wear size 10.5-11 in a running shoe, 13-1/2 in a standard Capezio ballet shoe, 10-1/2 in a jazz shoe with laces. Both the medium and large Neoforms were too big. They feel comfortable, yet would move if I tested with even an easy turn.It sounds like many reviews are positive. I think my slimmer foot might be a consideration for others. Capezio’s footundeez in large were also a bit loose (purchased at a Capezio store), having stretched out from moderate class use. Maybe I’ll try a medium of those. The alternative is to build up callouses, as bare feet are preferred by my teacher in her Contemporary Dance class. I don’t think I’ll live long enough lol.
My daughter wears these shoes for her acro solo, duo, and two acro group dances. She has tried other “foot undeez” or half sole type shoes but these are her favorite. We have ordered them 5 times over the years. She prefers the way that all the toes have a hole while others squish multiple toes in holes and these hold up much better than other brands as well. She has long but narrow feet and has worn XXS for two years even though he got has grown several sizes. She currently wears a 8.5 in women’s tennis shoes.
Get a smaller size they do not stay in place
Very comfortable fit with added extra: very little (to sometimes NO) pain from my Morton's Neuroma. I have tried the dance paws without the smaller toe holes, and they do work pretty well, but this one with the toe holes for each toe (I think) will last longer in staying exactly where I need it: near my toes at the ball of my foot. Such a protection, my foot feels naked without it. Thank you for such an excellent product. I have only worn it a few times (I only need it for one foot, and I can flip the other inside out to use it on the same foot!), but I am hopeful it will last and remain a boon to my dilemma.
The entire ball of the foot is suede so these are perfect for spins. Love them.
I wear a size 8. I ordered a few to try on sizes. The xsmall fits me the best but I also have narrow feet. It's a little tight on the foot but if I wear a regular small, the toe area slips and moves. These run a little big so follow the size chart (check my photos for bloch's actual size chart on packaging)
