The Academies Gear brand is my very favorite saddle shoe, and I would order shoes by this company any time they have a style I want to wear. Not only is the fit very comfortable but the cushioning in the insole and around the ankle make them the most wearable shoes I own.
I ordered a wide and received a B
I ordered these for my daughter. She is required to where a navy/white saddle shoe with her school uniform. The local uniform store charges $85 for the same style and the quality isn't as nice, so we feel this was a good purchase. They do run about a 1/2 size too big, but we kept them because she is still growing and it wasn't a big enough difference to make her suffer through wearing her old shoes any longer to trade these in for a smaller size. If you are wanting a perfect fit now, I would order a 1/2 size smaller. They have good cushioning in the sole as well as on the the tongue and heel and came with white and navy laces which is nice to have an extra pair, as her school doesn't seem to worry too much about the laces color. I will be ordering these again next year when she is ready for a new pair.
The fit was fine, but the top is very stiff and leaves a blister on the top of my right foot. I had to wear a band aid to make it through the evening. I am hoping I can "break them in" and the tops will soften.
The shoes are well made but uncomfortable on the top of my foot.
