Comfy, cute and endlessly versatile, this grown-up version of the Mary Jane loses absolutely nothing in the translation. The upper is crafted from rich, supple leather and features a cushioned, mesh-lined collar and soft, padded footbed. The hook-and-loop instep strap secures the fit, while the thick, rubber sole lends shock absorbency, traction and long-lasting wear. Aravon understands the precise role each pair of shoes plays in a woman's wardrobe and they applaud it. They appreciate the fact that you've got a million things to do and the last thing you need is aching feet. They know the damage caused by bad shoes, whether they injure the foot, ankle, knees or the ego. They are a few seasoned shoe developers who believe that footwear should support a woman's sense of wellbeing as well as her sense of style.

I absolutely love Aravon shoes--the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I recently had foot surgery and needed a good fitting pair of shoes that didn't put pressure on my instep. I went to my regular shoe store and looked at their Aravon selection, none of which were ideal for my feet due to the surgery, so I ended up spending $209 for a pair of Zeira's (made in China), which felt good in the store. After a couple of hours they were rubbing and making my feet sore, so I took them back. Frustrated, I began an online search and found this Farah Mary Jane, which was not one I saw in the store. I ordered this shoe and a pair with a similar style from another shoemaker. I wore the other pair for a couple of days until the Aravon's arrived. As soon as I put on the Aravon's my feet fell in love and thanked me for buying them. It almost feels like I'm wearing slippers!
I have horrible feet. Like everything is wrong with them. I'm always in pain. These shoes felt wonderful the first time I put them on. No days or weeks to be broken in. And they come in extra wide, which I need. I know they aren't that great looking, and are starting to show a little wear, but I've been wearing them everyday for almost 2 months. They are SO comfortable and won't cause you pain, and in my book, that matters more than how they look. I would definitely recommend these if you are on your feet a lot or have bad feet.
I am an Aravon exclusive wearer. I talked my 91 yr old mother into buying a pair for her comfort. This pair of shoes was perfect fit and she loved them. After 2 days of wearing them only indoors the sole of the shoes started breaking off in pieces. I told her it must be a fluke. We returned them and reordered. This time the price had doubled; was $22 now $45. Still willing to pay because they were great. 2nd pair same problem. I took them to a shoe repair and they said they are dry rotted and it would just continue to be a problem. As a last resort, we ordered again and now they were $70. We could not believe they had the same problem. UGH!! What happened to Aravon?
This shoe is awesome for style and comfort. Many wide width shoes have a clunky, orthotic look to them; but the Aravaon Farah actually has a slimming look. The finish is minorly pearlized which wasn't in the description but is an okay unique feature. The sock liner is weirdly white, pure hospital/ clinical white. I would definitely have preferred tan or black. This is the only shoe, other than one pair of white pumps, that I've even bought with a white sock liner. The pictures don't show that. The shoe is a bit pricey but that's the case with most of the New Balance products, especially all of the Aravon line. Amazon had it listed at a better price than other sites, however; so I finally broke down an bought a pair. You can wear them all day and never have your feet tire, just like hiking all day in one of the New Balance trail walkers. New Balance always makes great products for extended size people, like myself; and this is one of them. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars for the weird white sock liner, as it's a bit pricey, and because the description doesn't mention the white sock liner or the pearlized finish. I am happy with with the shoe overall and find it to be exceptionally comfortable.
As an older adult who can no longer wear heels, I've found this shoe to be perfect for me. It comes in a narrow size (so hard to find), has a removable foot bed for my orthodics, an adjustable velcro strap, fits well with or without socks, looks good whether I'm in blue jeans or dress clothes and wears well (I've had my old pair for over three years). I first found this shoe at my local New Balance store but, of course, they no longer carry it, so I was delighted to find that Aravon still makes the same shoe and it was available on Amazon.
Love Aravon shoes. They last a long time and are very comfortable. This is my fourth pair.
The shoe seems to run small. I wear a 6.5 N , my big toe touched the end of the shoe.
Never had a shoe that felt "broken in" the first try-on! Hugs my hard to please feet like a second skin. Aravon gets my vote for "best cobbler around" Couldn't ask for any thing to fit better. After shopping I frequently drift off to sleep in my recliner w/o removing them forgetting I hadn't taken them off! Used to pitch my shoes off the first thing upon entering my front door! So easy to put on and take off despite my minor handicap of use of only one hand. Every one should have the pleasure of at least one pair of these shoes. Thanks Amazon! You are my new "go to" buy.
