Camper, a family-run footwear company with a touch of whimsy, began its journey in 1975 on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Founded by Lorenzo Fluxà, Camper aimed to create comfortable and stylish shoes that challenged conventional design. Today, Camper remains a global leader in innovative and unique footwear for men, women, and children.
Camper prioritizes both comfort and creative design. Their shoes are crafted with high-quality materials and utilize ergonomic principles to ensure all-day comfort. However, Camper truly shines with its unconventional and playful design aesthetic. They embrace bold colors, unexpected textures, and a touch of Mediterranean flair in their collections.
I love these shoes and have been looking for any and all colors in size 11. Not easy to find so I'm also buying some 12s to see whether I can get them to fit. Several of the size 12s are just too large, even with my various combinations of insoles, including Naot Koru insoles, which are pretty thick, but add quite a bit of arch support. But these light tan suede (not yellowish as they appear on my screen) size 12s fit quite well, only a touch loose, and with a thin half insole added to my smaller foot, the shoe fits well. So, tho I wear a 9.5 medium to narrow in the real world, in the Camper Nina world I wear an 11 or rarely a 12. Let that size weirdness help you decide which to order. Soft, flexible shoe, remarkably comfortable, and some arch support. The elastic band holds the shoes on my hard to fit feet and looks great. I'm searching for more. Flats that stay on both my feet AND look good are hard for me to come by . . . and these do. So I love them!
Great soft moccasin/shoe. Defiantly runs small order a size up for starters. Has a moderate arch support for walking they are easy to slip on and stay on. Very easy to pack and take up very little space which is important. Overall a great find. The size up was snug in the length but the shoe leather is so soft that it was not a problem. I ordered 2 pr to have one for everyday and one pr in reserve. Additional information on size, normally a EU size 38 would be a US 8 but in these it is not I ordered a 39 and am happy with the overall fit.
I'm very, very happy with these flats, as I am with the Camper Peu Cami lace up tennis shoes I bought a few months ago. I have wide feet, a painful bunion on one foot and, if I spend much time in heeled shoes, tailor's bunions on my small toes. I need very flexible, very minimal shoes. I've had good luck with some Merrill barefoot trail shoes and tennis shoes, but I need something at least vaguely presentable for work. I also like to wear dresses. These Right Nina flats are comfortable and they work with pants and dresses. Easy to get on and off, and comfortable even when I sit on the floor (no hard soles to dig into my legs when I sit crosslegged). The elastic strap could be a tiny bit tighter, but it's comfortable. Both the leather and the sole material seem high quality and durable. My Peu Camis have held up very well and I hope these will too. I really like the way the upper doesn't wrap all the way to the sole. There is another narrow piece of leather separating those two sections (hard to describe), which I think will make the shoe hold up better. All in all, I'm really pleased with these shoes and I will probably buy other colors in the future.
My american size is 8.5 which is normally 39 in all but camper EU sizing. With them I have to go up to a EU40/US10 and what I get is either right on, slightly big, or slightly small. I have only gotten two pair that were just a bit small in this sizing. EU 40 should be size 9 US but not with camper. Just FYI. Once you get your size socked in, you’re generally good. This pair of black right nina’s is too tight across the big toe part of my forefoot. They will stretch out for sure, they all do since the leather is good quality and soft, but I am having to use liquid shoe stretcher and wear them around the house over and over. Usually I can just get them and go. I also like zero drop shoes, and the camper inserts have a 1/4” rise on the heel since most people are used to having their heels raised a smidge. I pull mine out and replace them with lems shoes primal 2’s inserts which don’t have the rise in them. Some of the nina right ballet shoes are now coming with flat (zero drop) inserts now too. I bought a pink nubuck pair that came that way and it’s a good thing for me at least. When there is no arch support, your feet have to use themselves and the muscles to walk and work, and I used my time during covid to go barefoot for the year at home and my feet are much better. I had been having all sorts of problems and using super feet in all my shoes but the issues kept getting worse since my feet were just being supported not being used. I just love the camper’s that are flat, they really are great and pack like a dream if you are traveling. I also like the wider(mostly) toebox, but sometimes you get a fluke like this pair. Mine ran slightly smaller than usual for a camper size 40 and I would say these are an EU38.5. they’re long enough, but not quite as wide as I’d like across the top of my foot from the big toe. Don’t usually have to wait for them to stretch out…
The sizing is off. I ordered my size 8 and got EU size 38 - it is not the same! I just wasted my time and I have to send them back, because they are too small. They look comfortable but they are useless for me. Is it so difficult to get the sizing info right? Everyone is complaining about wrong sizing and yet nothing has been corrected.
Best shoes ever! Wide toe box, flat (some of us do't want an arch support), totally flexible sole. Campers are just not like other shoes -- better made, better style, better fit and practical. i wear either a 39 or 40 i(9 or 10) in Camper, this time sized up and it was exactly right. Perfect for summer and city walking. Thank you, Camper!
Leather appeared to be nice quality, but make sure you order at least a size up because these run very small!
In light of other reviews of this shoe, I ordered a size up (I usually wear a women's size 8, so I purchased a 9 in this style) and they fit *like a dream*. The way the toe box is built perfectly fits my wide-ish feet. The insole is supportive, and comfy, and the leather is so soft there is no break-in period required. The elastic band is wide enough to be supportive, not too tight, and doesn't rub so no blister risk. Construction of the shoe seems built to last. Only time will tell, but I plan on wearing these puppies every day when I commute by transit into the City.
