These flats are my new favorite shoes, and this statement is coming from a girl who has more than 80 pairs of shoes. They are my favorite because they can be worn with just about anything. They are patent (faux) leather, and they are extremely comfortable. I wore them for 9 hours straight yesterday with no problems. I love these so much that I am seriously thinking of buying a back-up pair. I have only done that once in the 20+ years I have been buying shoes. The fit is perfect for me. I have a slightly wide foot (not wide enough to actually wear wide shoes) and need a shoe that has a toebox with a generous amount of space. These flats fit the bill.
I bought these to wear to a wedding because, due to recent foot surger, I cannot wear high heels for a while. These are cute and relatively comfortable. I think they run slightly big. My usual shoe size is usually between 7.5 and 8.5, and based on the reviews I went with 8 in a wide width. I have had several pairs of a different style Dr Scholls flat sneakers, and loved those (Jennie) in size 7.5 normal width, but had another pair of a different style in 7.5 that were too tight. I don't normally need wide width shoes, but I am glad I got the wider width because I still had some pinching on the sides at the widest part of my foot. I wore these with a thin liner sock, but they still came off my heels when walking. I was able to dance a little without them coming off. After a few hours at the wedding I was not too uncomfortable, but I was ready to take them off. I normally wear sneakers most days, so maybe I am just not used to flats. These did have a little more support than other flats I tried on, which I would expect from Dr Scholls. Even more support would have been nice, but it was better than none at all. I tried to fit some support insoles in these, but they didn't work (too thick).
I have a fairly wide foot and can wear either a 7W or WW(2E), or sometimes 7.5W or WW, depending on the shoe. I ordered these because I was looking for a ballet flat that wasn't too orthopedic-looking with some kind of cushioned insole or arch support. I ordered these in 7W and, unfortunately, they were both too narrow (the toe-box pinched) and one of the shoes pinched length-wise as well. The insole felt fairly cushion-y but there was no arch support. Really disappointing. Returning. I feel that the shoe fits a little smaller because of the pillowy insole, but what's the point of having an insole if there is no support, and that cushion is going to flatten out over time as well? The shoes were nicely styled and well-constructed. Debating on whether I will be ordering the .5sz up (7.5W) and if those make a difference. The insole isn't removable so I can't put my own arch supports in. Disappointing.
Loved these shoes! I was looking for a pair of neutral colored shoes that I could wear with business casual outfits to work when I didn't want to wear heels. These are perfect! They have a good deal of support in the sole of the shoe but also on all sides as well. I have been able to wear these all day without by feet feeling tired or achy, even on day one. I also ordered some Croc brand shoes and these not only fit better but look nicer as well and were cheaper. I don't normally like Dr. Scholl's brand shoes, but this pair is making me re-think my feelings about them. These seem to be well made and are so comfortable!.
I should have listened to the reviews. The part of the shoe that runs across the top of foot is too short, it rubs your foot with each step. I bought a size bigger because the reviews said it would rub. I don't think going up a size will help. I think Dr. needs to rethink how to make this shoe. After 2 weeks of wearing the shoe on a 8 hour day ( i work in an office, most walking was from my car in parking lot to my cube) it created a callus on top of my foot! It also created a sharp pain on the sides of my feet. I bought a different pair of black flats and threw Dr. shoes away. After I switched to my new pair (name not mentioned), the callus went away in two days.I hate hate hate hate these shoes. What a waste of money!!! DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES! They are awful, I really wanted to burn the shoes.
I have owned the dr scholls pointed toe flats for some time and LOVE THEM. THey are my go-to flat as they are comfortable, look nice on my foot and don't look like an old lady shoe. I wanted a black pair and the round-toed shoes are significantly cheaper than the pointed-toe shoes. So, I went with these and ordered the same size that I have in the pointed-toe(10M). I was very disapointed as soon as I opened the box. They just look like they were going to give me clown feet, which they absolutely did when I put them on. They also were very tight across the toes and my feet are too wide for them in general. I couldn't wear them even if I wanted to. I will be returning these and paying the extra money for the pointed-toe flats!
I am thrilled with these shoes...just ordered my second pair! I have been searching (with little luck before I found these) for shoes that are visually like ballet flats, but have more support and cushioning, plus come in wide width. Bingo! These fit the bill. They are so comfy, even on my wife feet, and look great. The padding of the sole is just heavenly. And there is just a slight bit of a heel - they look completely flat but have just that tiny bit of support.
I really love these shoes, but I had to really break them in for them to feel comfortable. And still, after a while of wearing them, they start to bother around the outer side of my foot where the seam of the shoe is. The entire top boarder/ seam of the shoes is tight. I had to use a shoe stretcher to get it to fit without hurting the heck out of my foot. Another thing I noticed is that they get smelling really quick. I bought three different pairs of flats when I bought these and from all three pairs, this pair is the only one that smells. It might be the memory foam they use inside. Over all, the shoes look really nice, but they are not the most comfortable.
