ECCO, a Danish footwear brand founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: creating comfortable shoes that mimicked the barefoot walking experience. Toosbuy believed that shoes shouldn't restrict the natural movement of the foot, and ECCO's commitment to ergonomic design has been at the heart of the brand ever since.
ECCO prioritizes both comfort and style. They utilize innovative technologies and premium materials to create shoes that are anatomically shaped, lightweight, and flexible. ECCO also boasts a keen eye for design, offering a range of styles that are both functional and fashion-forward.
I wore these on a two week trip, while walking multiple miles per day, and never got blisters or had sore feet. They are adjustable at both the toe and ankle strap which was nice, and I’m sure this helped prevent blisters especially around the toes. They held up surprisingly well. I really wanted a pair of sandals to wear that were cute but still comfortable, and could be paired with many outfits. These hit all the marks for me and I would repurchase instantly!
My daughter and I first tried on these shoes at a physical store, and they were so comfy, and unlike most comfortable shoes, actually nice looking, that we each bought a pair but in different colors. As we each started wearing our shoes, we both remarked on how comfortable they were. It's as comfortable as any athletic shoe I've ever tried. Knowing that your favorite shoe will get discontinued, I suggested we get more. Now, we each have multiple colors and even some backups!I usually wear a 6 or 6.5. In this shoe, the 36 was perfect (Amazon listed this as 5-5.5 although I equate 36 typically to a 6). My daughter's foot is almost the same size but leans to 6 more than 6.5. She also got the 36. I have an A width foot with a low toe box, which means that most sandals gape at the toe strap. The velcro straps on these sandals allow for me to get a perfect fit. I also have plantar fasciitis, and these shoes are like therapy to wear. My daughter's foot has a normal toe box and these also fit her well.I am slightly concerned about longevity given some other reviews about the sole cracking, but so far, ours are in good shape. The main flaw so far with these shoes is that the foot bed is a microfiber textile and stains easily. I've washed the footbed on my daughter's shoes already and was able to remove most of the staining. It's a shame the footbed isn't leather since that would essentially eliminate this problem. Even with that flaw, the comfort of these shoes is worth the trouble of cleaning them occasionally.
Very cute and fits my narrow feet. 3 adjustable straps, arch, comfort--perfect!
I love the look of this sandal. I usually wear a 7.5 in ecco sandal and my toes come almost to the front edge of the foot bed. These left about 1/2" to the edge fitting more like an 8 in length but not width. My feet pronate in so the lack of support on the sides left me with an uncomfortable fit. Other than that the foot bed is comfortable with a good arch.
Purchased these for a 2 weeks trip to Rome, Amalfi Coast and Venice. Took me a long time to find a supportive sandal that was cute and comfortable for long distances of walking daily. We average 6-9 miles a day and these were great. Looked great with sundresses, linen pants and athletic/leisure wear. And even provided comfort & support after severely spraining my ankle 3 days into the trip. Held up well and didn’t make me feel old and frumpy or look like an orthodic sandal. Must have for European travel! I still have a lot miles in these sandals and we’ll worth the money!!
I bought these shoes because I have high arches and needed some cute casual sandals that offered good support. They were a little pricey, but very comfortable so I kept them. I bought them in mid-June and noticed last week (mid August) the sole has a huge crack across the bottom. I’m hoping to contact the seller to see if they can make it right. My plan was to wear these to Paris next month. Would be a 5-star shoe is not for them breaking down in 2 months, especially considering the price.
I have foot issues. (I'm a senior.) Wear custom orthotics in my "lace up shoes." I find this sandal almost as comfortable as those. Easy on and off. A friend commented that they looked cool. My reply was that for me that was irrelevant. I buy for comfort, not style. Have 3 pairs.
I bought 2 pairs of this sandal for myself this summer. They are very comfortable and look great on foot. The quality is very poor, the soles broke after a month. On the first pair I thought it was because they got wet in the rain. But the second pair did not get wet and they still broke after a month. Very unfortunate because I really liked the style and comfort.
