I already own 2 pair of these shoes, the only shoes with soft, supple leather that do not hurt the bone spur (hallux rigidus) which is causing a lot of pain on top of a bunion on one foot. I need to have surgery to correct it, but until I can do it, these shoes are the only shoes that don't hurt. I used to be a size 10 in younger days, but have been wearing the equivalent of an 11, so while it's a little long, it compensates in the width for my injury. Love the shoes.
This is a well made and high quality shoe. Overall this shoe fits as expected. Unfortunately I had to return the shoe because with my RA the toe box was a little too shallow for my one bad foot and I was afraid it would not stretch enough to not cause pain. It is a beautiful shoe and the Seller is great.
I really wanted these shoes to fit. Even tried a larger size. Toe box not quite right for toes, slightly too narrow, edge across top cuts into foot, needed a shoehorn to put them on. Could only have worn with a lightweight sock. I've worn Mephisto sandals for years, and wanted a shoe I could wear all day. Surprised and disappointed.
These are wonderful. I bought a pain while on vacation in France and have worn them for a year. Absolutely love them. Extremely comfortable. I bought this pair to have a second pair because I like them so well
Mephisto shoes are made for comfort and this one did not disappoint. It was wearable from day one without having to break it in. It's dressier looking than most "sneakers" so it can easily be worn with slacks as well as more casual pants.
This shoe is not comfortable; the “cushioning” is just plain hard. The shoe also runs short.
I always wear a 7 in Mephisto, but tried on in store and needed 7 1/2 in this shoe. Very comfy and glad I went with a bit larger size.
