- The matai is a comfortable Maryjane shoe with a contrasting swirl design. This style has a padded heel cup for stability and comfort and a hook and loop closure at the instep for adjustability.
- The front portion of the kumara features padded technical lining which provides comfort and absorbs moisture. NAOT's removable, anatomic cork and latex footbed is wrapped in pampering suede and molds to the shape of the foot with wear.
- This style features a 1 Inch polyurethane sole which is extremely lightweight, durable and slip resistant. This style is hand-sewn strobel construction making it strong and extremely flexible.

I can walk miles in these shoes! I have a wide foot and narrow heel, these fit beautifully.. I bought this style 3 times in varied colors.. they are great in European cobblestones.. no pain after 8. + miles!
These are the most comfortable shoes ever. I have high arches and a narrow foot, but I get foot pain and need a somewhat wide shoe. These work perfectly. They have greatly improved my foot pain. They are both beautiful and comfortable at the same time.
Sorry I thought I had left a review. I am crazy about these shoes!! I had a pair for at least a decade and wore them a lot. The soles finally started coming off. I was so happy to find the exact same style! My shoe size varies between 10 and 11 depending on maker and whether or not they have open toes. My second and third toes are longer than my big toe. So. . . size 11 enclosed toe are often too large. These shoes accommodate my longer toes perfectly in a size 10. I was tempted to buy another pair in a different style but as I'm on a fixed income thought I'd better not. THANK YOU NAOT!
These are much cuter than the pictures show. I was complimented on them the first time I wore them out. They are however just a tad smaller in size than my other Naot Mary Jane sandals that are sized the same. Luckily, I am able to wear them and they are very comfortable. I have one cranky foot and go to a foot surgeon on a fairly regular basis. Naots are not on the doctor’s list yet, but are very much approved for troubled feet.
These shoes are solid, attractive, and comfortable. I love the spiral design. I love how well made they are. I love that there are multiple colors. I am sorry my size is not available in all of them. Also, my older pair, which I loved just as much, eventually had the soles fall apart. We are talking 10 + years, but still it was sad! So please do keep making these shoes ! And if you could make the sole hold up as well as the top, that would be nice.
I've worn this same shoe (Naot Matai) and color variations for over 15 years. They are perfect for my need for arch support and enough toe room. If you are a true size 8, order size 38. I tried a 39 once and it was too large.
Upon arrival, these shoes were bent out of shape and very stretched on the sides. The overall style was nice and Naot has a quality product, but this particular pair of shoes were damaged. Plus the heel area ran extremely wide. I am very disappointed with them and plan to return them immediately.
I love these shoes and have been wearing this Naot shoe style for at least ?20 yrs. The comfort comes from the excellent materials used, and the orthotic footbeds that are replaceable if need be be. They last forever. I am waiting for the color variety to come back, because no one wants to wear black all the time.The Naot company makes other style I have worn to include summer sandals. This is the best of European walking shoes that will take you everywhere in comfort
