I would say these are basically true to size... I would NOT size down as suggested if between sizes. I wear anywhere from an 8 to a 9 depending on what I am wearing in addition to shoes. Like sandals are a size 8. Winter boots a 9. These fit me like an 8 when I am barefoot (I ordered an 8.5), maybe even tighter than your standard 8. The good news, I can get them on... they are snug all over and a bit too tight at the widest part before my toes. They generally don't flip flop unless I push my heel up. They also have a label under the foot that you can feel when walking. I was expecting so much more for the price. Disappointed. They look fine though.. just not made for comfort.
These are classic flats with the now trendy pointy toes. They fit well, hugging my foot comfortably and providing a bit of support. They run true to size and there is no toe cleavage. I did not experience any heel slippage and other than being a bit stiff there was no discomfort when I first slipped them on. The styling is classic, and will go with just about everything from formal attire through business, to dressy casual. These would be a great choice for a vacation wardrobe. The classic styling and versatility coupled with the quality materials and workmanship make these well worth the price.
