He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market, and in doing so to accomplish one goal: Making life more comfortable for those without shoes. To realize this purpose, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. It's simple: If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair to someone in need on your behalf. During its first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. TOMS Shoes are now available in multiple colors and fabric combinations for men, women and a recently introduced line for children, aptly titled Tiny TOMS.

This is my third pair of Toms and I love them just as much as the first two! I love the gray color, which will go with just about everything. Toms are the best traveling shoes, easy to slip on and off at the airport, comfortable with good arch support. When I retire I will probably live in Toms! They do run a little big, so I buy 1/2 size down and they are perfect.
I ordered the ash in this shoe and I really like it, it is kind of between a brown and a gray, which seems to change with the color you are wearing. The shoe is pretty comfortable for a slip-on canvas shoe. I have a lot of difficulty wearing a shoe without socks, so I bought some little footies and they work fine with the shoe. My daughter has two pairs and they don't bother her at all. I actually liked them so well that I bought another pair, but had to order them through Tom's because they were a new color for the season. This is going to be my shoe for the summer.I wear a 5 1/2 and they fit perfect.
His wife bought these as a gift for herself, and I absoutely love these TOMs! This was the first time I bought TOMs in my life and was a bit nervous to order them online without trying them on first, but I read the reviews and took a shot and bought them in my regular size. They were abit tight at first as was mentioned in the reviews but after the first use the canvas stretched out abit not enought to make it fall off my heel but just enough stretch to fit comfortably. Planning to buy another pair in a different color.
Lightweight, comfortable shoes that are easy to slip on and off. These run big so go down half a size. I am ALWAYS a size 6, but had to get a 5.5 in these. The 6 were enormous! These will stretch out with time. The gray color is great and goes with everything.
I liked the product however, they were too big... easy shipment, and easy return... Quick refund too!
Bought for my daughter to replace a worn out pair exactly like them that were 10 years old. She is a Zouk dancer and loves these for dancing!
It's a simple shoe, good color, and the best part someone else gets a pair of shoes also.
The first pair of Toms I bought on Amazon fit perfectly for about 4 weeks, the thread came of on my left shoe. I called Amazon and they exchanged them for me. I ordered the same shoe again, the fit was great but they seemed more stiff then the other ones even after breaking them in. I also noticed the new ones I got don't have the little R on the back of the shoe, so not sure if these are original Toms or a fake. So I called Amazon and they refunded me half of my money. I'm happy with Amazons Customer Service, but I do not recommend Toms shoes from Amazon or the Toms Website.
