shoes are expensive, but they are the most comfortable pair of golf shoes I have owned. the grips are nice as well. I have had other spike less pairs of shoes that I spin out on too much. not these.water proof layer works well, but.... on a sunny day it is gets a little warm. not sure how easy it is to remove and replace. I will be looking into that.The outside leather is holding up but I already see signs of wear after about 10 rounds. they are too expensive to wear out to quickly.I was about to order a second pair, before I started seeing the wear. I am going to wait a while and see how long they last.
Many years ago, like 50, i purchased a lot of Johnston & Murphy shoes, stylish designs, top quality leather. later on after working overseas, i thought their designs had become boring and materials cheap.So, it seems they have improved their game. these golf shoes are top notch quality, excellent leather, and arrived quickly. i’m looking at others to buy now.Added later… i just bought & received a pair of the same shoes in a different color. wondered if they could possibly fit as well as the first pair. slipped them on and everything was perfect!
Very, very comfortable and doesn’t require shoe change at the course. I have narrow feet so bought thicker socks- problem solved (they do run a tad wide, as they say they they will).
Whenever you see a review that starts with - "I really wanted to like this...", you know where it's going. This is one of those. The main reason I ordered this item is because it states "waterproof" and the design didn't look bad either. A win-win. Right? Well... No.The shoe looks nice, seems well built, but is poorly designed and I doubt that the designer ever tried it on. Apart from the fact that the toe box is a bit tight for an athletic shoe, once you put it on and start walking, it cuts terribly into the great toe to the point that it's causing unbearable pain. Simply impossible to walk in these shoes. I realize that not all feet are built the same, and neither are all shoes. This one and me - we were just not meant for each other.Shipping it back, obviously. But beware - although the seller ships for free, returns are NOT free. Not good and something you typically don't expect from Amazon, especially as a Prime member.
