Comfy enough to wear every day. Soles are pretty durable on concrete. Waterproof outer is nice too. I buy these very 6 months. The new pair are my work shoes. The old pair get demoted to “garage work” shoes. The garage pair get demoted to “mowing” duty. The mowing shoes are thrown out at that point . IMO, Not bad durability for sub $60 pairs of shoes.
BAM! These shoes are lightweight and surprisingly durable and have no breaking period. The Nubuck material seemed odd but cleans up well and stays new looking for a long time. I work 9 - 12 hours a day on my feet in a hotel restaurant and these shoes lasted over six months even after hosing them off every day with the floor soap/ degreaser in the utility closet in the kitchen - then the glue started to wear out. They gripped the floor like glue even over slick spots. If I didn't need a deeper shoe with more overall foot coverage, I would have bought them again, but cleaned them with just soap & water.
This is probably the comfiest restaurant shoe I have worn to date. I have bought two pairs now. I have purchased 2 different models of sketchers, and even crocs. The comfort level of this shoe, the water resistant, the slip resistant, the heat resistant, doesn’t compare to the others. The durability, this didn’t hold up as well as the others, the sole came loose after 4 months. But for the comfort level. I chose it again. I was able to soak my shoes cleaning floors, without my socks getting wet. I was able to stand on a hot grill and clean the hoods, without it affecting the shoe at all.
I love everything about Chef Emeril! He is so calm when he explains how he cooks food! And now I understand why! the Emeril Lagasse Shoes are definitely the best kitchen shoes I have ever bought! The box has all the specifications of the shoe on it. Including, the way it feels on your feet, and the smell of mint inside the lining! I will most definitely be buying the same shoes when these shoes get old and worn.
Got these shoes in January and on June 1st 2023 I contacted them for a replacement or refund because the sole was coming off and so the shoe was defective. I was told that it was outside of the refund policy and that I needed to contact the manufacturer. What kind of stupidity is going Amazon? The shoes were comfy and won’t last and made to fall apart after only 4 months.I did contact the company and it’s closed down. I didn’t get a replacement or even a refund for defective shoes. The fact that they emailed me asking me to send them information on the shoe knowing the company was closed was deceptive. Also Amazon could have told me they were closed. This is why I couldn’t get a refund because they wouldn’t be able to recoup it after a 3 month period. Which is about how long it takes the shoe to fall apart. Your lucky if it fell apart beforehand because at least you could get refund. The front part of the sole came apart on shoes I purchased in January. It’s not been quite 4 months and it’s outside of Amazon’s return policy. But how was I to know the shoes were defective with the sole detaching? They gave me your website or to reach out to the manufacturer which is totally terrible customer service on Amazon’s part. I didn’t purchase it from the website or the manufacturer. It just makes no since. What will you all do to make this right on your behalf since Amazon failed me? I took photos and shoes are a bit dirty as this happened yesterday May 31, 2023. All I want is a replacement pair the shoe is absolutely comfortable and should last more than 4 months. They worked but if you are going to be doing a lot of walking and standing then you need better. I think they lasted 6 months about before my son told me they were tearing apart on the bottom.
I had to order these after my last pair finally started to fall apart after about 18 months. I have a demanding job that has me walking around constantly, and going in and out of a huge freezer, so I'd say they lasted quite well. My point is I had to order these here because I could not find them any longer in my local shop, and these have been the best fitting shoes I've ever owned. I have to wear wide sizes, and most shoe designs (while wide) for some reason still have thin toe regions that would squeeze my pinky toes. This is also the only shoe where I don't have to add an insole. Just all around great quality.
