I like Columbia, I buy Columbia, and every times if I buy another shoes i am disappoint.
The good is the sole is perfect for walking. Cushioned but not too much. The upper is not well designed. First, it is supposed to be a sandal, for hot weather, but has very little ventilation (and the material does not breath). Second the 'adjustable' part is fake. Tighten the cord and nothing happens. [So if it does fit exactly it won't adjust to fit.] Also, it is rather high for a shoe worn without socks.Overall, sole 5 stars, upper 3 stars. Overall 4 stars.
I liked the concept of this sandal, but the design is a shopping list of disasters. What I like: it's pretty cool looking, like a Forebay sandal had a baby with a gladiator shoe. The sole is flat, hard, and has a hiking shoe tread... not one of those memory poof things or rolling soles that all the "sport" shoes are pushing. What I don't like: right out of the box, the proportions looked off. It was very hard to put on; the opening is too small, there's too much friction on the extra long tongue, and the heel folds under (it's too stiff to hook your finger inside and pull it up, I had to use a shoehorn). The cords are not elastic, and don't do anything to adjust the fit. Despite plenty of room in front of the toes, the front half is narrow, with hard seams inside. My feet were squishing out the vent holes. (BTW, this was a size larger than my usual sandal size). The heel is actually very wide once it is on, lots of chafing room on both sides and the back, but heel cup was snug on top. The tongue pokes into your shin.I'm offended by how stupid the design is. Why would they make something this bad?
